The Big Lebowski is just a “meh” movie. Save for a couple scenes, it’s just not that funny. It also caused a whole generation to rag on a great band because a movie character “hates the frickin Eagles, man.”

100%. I swear every kid in college with a backwards hat just went around saying how genius this was not knowing shite about it. Its one of those movies you have to say you like because you'll seem cool, but when you go back and watch its funny but pretty average.

Its nowhere near the best Cowen movie

Breaking Bad is slow and boring.

I have always said this. With the right edit, it's a top 3 western all time.

I thought it was unpopular opinions not just straight up lazy takes. That is a very lazy and uninformed take. If that's your opinion of his books then it's safe to assume you've read maybe one of them and didn't like it and now just have that opinion of all of them. Do better.

I love There Will Be Blood but I get that take 100%. It's not for everybody. But saying DDL is overrated is wild.

What role of his was overrated? Outside of There Will Be Blood.

Yellowstone sucks. Hard. Just a badly written western soap opera and it deserved no spin offs.

DDL best movie is Gangs of New York. Last of the Mohicans is a boring arse movie and I don't see what the big deal about it is. People talk about it like its a cinematic life changing movie. If they want that, they should just watch Dances with Wolves.

It's up there.

That's fair but DDL was certainly incredible in it.

I love both of them.

All of them. Gangs of New York is probably the only movie of his I would watch twice.

Beth is one of the most horrible characters to ever be on TV.

The guys here always love this one when I throw it out but The Wire is just a decent cop show. I dont see it as anything spectacular and is certainly not a top 10 series of all time like a lot believe in my opinion.

Yellowstone is good in parts, but it's that 5% over the top cowboy toughman LARPing bull that keep it out of my rotation. I wanted to enjoy it for what it was, but just couldn't. I guess one of the biggest deal breakers was the foul language. Everyone curses like a soldier.

Unpopular opinion: History of the World part 1 just isn't funny anymore. It doesn't hold up.

i agree that yellowstone does suck but everything else Sheridan has done is better and it's his weakest work despite being the most successful

I've never found Carrey to be funny going back to his days on In Living Color. He just overdoes everything.

Ferrell is hit or miss for me.

as somebody who still likes it, upon watching it with my son, i realized that i'm just genuinely entranced by the final scene and score more than I am the entirety of the movie.

i've thought about starting a thread about movies that are mediocre but there is a song placement that skews what you actually think about it.

I'm gonna get killed.

I think Captain Marvel is a good superhero movie. Her character was interesting and I liked how they told the story of or origin through the back story.
