Jerry Maguire failed to establish the relationship between the 2 leads. Jerry was never in love with Dorothy.
Jerry never did anything for Rod that the original sports management company could not have done.
If Jerry had never existed the ending would still be the same. Dorothy would have still married an a-hole that didn’t love her. Rod would have still been injured, and would still get paid a big contract.
You missed the entire theme of the movie.
It wasn't about Jerry changing everyone else's lives, it's about everyone else changing Jerry.

If you count short stories:

Tarantino can’t write a coherent plot to save his fricking life and his movies are a series of scenes strung together with duct tape.
Some of those scenes are awesome.

WRT History of the World Part 1:
It was always a series of sketches strung loosely together that would work separately. Only the French Revolution and Rome parts could be considered short films.
Some sketches are better than others.
But the jokes are good for the most part.
The Moses tablet drop was mentioned before but
I liked the Count De Money bit, the flunked flank bit in Rome, the whole Vestal Virgins bit in Rome… there’s a lot of funny and quotable bits

Animal House is one of the best movies of all time. I don’t know how anybody could dislike the movie.

I think that Saturday Night Live has been horribly unfunny for its entire history.
I’ve watched replays from the supposedly funny shows of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It was as unfunny then as it is now. Even though they weren’t obsessing on Donald Trump back then.

Whoa, I love Chinatown. Yours is an unusual take for sure.

Out of Sight is pretty good. Michael Keaton as Ray Nicolette in both films. Get Shorty is a great movie.
