Night King needs to be in final battle. Sort of like hobbit when goblins attack the armies fighting each other.

I don’t get people saying this. She was going crazy for at least two seasons before kings landing. The cracks in her sanity we’re there to be seen for anyone looking for them.

First thing is make the last two seasons normal 10 episodes each to flesh this all out more which was the strength of the show from the beginning. That’s give us at least 6-7 hours more to do so. This alone would have allowed many things in the end to make sense. The endingd I most didn’t like were Jaime going back to Cersei and Bran somehow becoming king.

Just to change things:

- Jon battles and loses to Night King at Winterfell but escapes as they fall back, many die to get the Starks out.

- NK army ravages Westeros over the course of the seasons, slowly heading south. Sansa and Arya with Brienne and Hound lead a group to gather troops, save people, and head south as well.

- Final battle in King’s Landing where Cersei is really the mad queen, refuses to help Starks/Dany, and wants to destroy the entire city out of fear of NK’s army. Jaime stop this plot again by becoming queenslayer - the truth all later comes out and he’s a hero. Cersei bleeds out slowly as Jaime berates her about their family’s deaths being her fault. Tyrion and perhaps Arya are here for this as well.

- Cleganebowl still goes down.

- Bran does his vision quest bit to discover all the wildfire in KL and set a trap to lead a large chunk of the NK army here away from people and destroy them.

- Jaime later sacrifices himself to save Dany so we can have a ice and fire dragon battle that she wins.

- The two above buy time for one last 1v1 for Jon, who kills the Night King this time in an epic duel of ice and fire as Jon embraces his heritage.

- Sansa still rules/rebuilds the North and Arya still leaves to explore but does visit occasionally.

- Tyrion becomes hand of the king/queen. Bran, Brienne, Davos, Sam, and Bronn all serve on the council.

- I wouldn’t have been opposed to Jon/Dany ruling together but more GoT like would be one of them dies, the other sits on the Iron Throne. Likely Dany so she could have their baby.

I think a huge thing would have been if Jon would have been formally recognized as Aegon Targaryen, which would have brought many different possible plot arcs. Conversely, after all the build up to the discovery of his lineage, the way the issue died out felt like a huge misfire, wasted opportunity and unfulfilled thing.

Oh frick no. She’s likely the cause of a ton of shite back in the Robb Stark era. It was good to see her die.

Well, Danny going Mad Queen and John Snow being her bitch with the constant "my queen" was sickening. Cersi was a non-player in most of the final season which sucked.

It's easier to complain about what went wrong than try to fix it..

I guess I would do a sequel with what happen to John Snow after he was exile to the Wall and beyond

I think John's story arc ending beyond the wall was perfect. He struggled connecting and trusting people below the wall. His true love was a wildling, his best friend a wildling. John Should have Killed the Night King in a pitched 1v1 battle

I would have preferred many more battles with the whitewalkers leading up to the Battle of Winterfell.

Dany should have died in the battle for King's Landing. Having the ultimate battle between Cersei and Dany leading to both of their deaths would have been poetic justice.

Bran should have become Hand of The King

Arya becoming a Dora The Explorer was fine by me

Sansa should have ascended the throne IMO. It would have been a great arc for her. S1 she watched her dad get executed...Final Season she rises to the throne

Jamie killing Cersei therefore become Azor Ahai. When he stabs her his golden and hand sword catches flames and he battles the Night King.

Jon ends up on the throne.

All of the above, but Jaime gets beheaded. He gets full redemption, but Jon Snow passes the sentence/swings the sword in the end.

Jon kills the night king, but becomes the new night king and goes back north.

Danny is killed by Jamie.

Tyrion kills Cersi, but dies in the rubble.

All Starks perish in the fight.

All noble houses ended at end of the season

all they had to do was have her get impaled by one of those dragon-crossbow bolts while trying to burn up the red keep

I'd would have found a way to get rid of Sansa before she opened her big frigging mouth and ruined everything. I ended up hating her character so much, I still refuse to watch anything Sophie Turner is in.

to a direction that is literally the opposite of the entire premise of her character is just so silly and stupid that it’s laughable.

Was it though?

She spent a good amount of episodes prior to obtaining a legitimate army talking about how she would burn cities to the ground.

The kinder approach of freedom and liberation seemed to be more for the non-Westeros cities/kingdoms, all while she viewed Westeros as hers to reclaim/conquer by any means necessary.

I'm okay with her going nuts and actually burning cities, but I do agree it should have creeped in more slowly than just the flip of a switch.

Yes, very much so. She was talking about burning cities to the ground that stood against the things she stood for (like freedom and being anti-slavery). Basically, she was always standing up for the little guy, so to speak. So for her to straight up nuke KL and slaughter thousand of literally innocent people, it went completely against character for her.

So you actually do agree with what I am saying....then why the first part of your post? Weird.

Also, the Jaime/Cersei completion was one of the most egregious things of the entire series. I even get why they did it...showing that no matter what happened, he loved Cersei THAT much and she had that much control over him. But Jaime Lannister had one of the best character arcs of the whole show, and he seemed to have legitimately grown the most. Only to have him wipe out all of his redemption in a matter of minutes. It just didn't make much sense, even if viewing it through the lens of "Cersei above all" that he operated under for so much time.

It would have been a GoT-esqe plot twist. Cersei gets killed by Jaime...a few scenes later when it appears Dany has won, Bron rips a ballista through the heart of Dany's dragon... Dany and all of her dreams fall to Earth

The viewers would have been like WTF

From season 7 onward

Dany and her crew don’t go full retard as soon as they enter Westeros and their army does what it should have done and completely smoke Cersi’s army

Cersi surrounded by Dany, Tyrell, Martell, dragons, and other various smaller armies threatens to go full mad King and blow up KL

Jamie kills Cersi and Dany takes over quickly after although met with a good bit of resistance

Jon and the North attempt to fight the WW at Winterfell which fails miserably and they suffer heavy losses including some major names

Jon and the remaining northern army head to the Twins where Blackfish is still held up and take retreat there. Meanwhile Jon, Tyrion, and Davos head to KL after learning about Dany’s take over

They convince her to join the fight and there’s a massive battle at the Twins which ends in another loss including a dead dragon.

Final fight happens at KL, Jon kills the NK, Dany sacrifices herself in an attempt to save Jon, the WW are killed by Dany and her dragons, Jon is named the new King after the battle and learning about his true parents. Tyrion is named hand, Sansa takes the North, the survivors lay plans for a more Democratic form of government for Westeros
