The last season of the show wasn’t really the problem, it was the 2-3 seasons before the last seasons that sucked so bad that the ending they made is the only one that made sense given where they were lead up to that point

The original stretched on for 2-3 seasons too long.

I'm in the minority and loved HIMYM. Well written, witty, and a great cast(NPH is the GOAT and Cobie Smulders is a smokeshow).
If for nothing else, I will watch just due to Hilary Duff, she is FAF.

Is Sophie going to be Ted's daughter, or Ted's Daughter-in-law?
Will they get a super-straight actor to play a flaming-gay daughter of Barney?
Lastly, what's the chances that The "Father" in "How I met your father" turns out to not be a dude?

The first 6 seasons of HIMYM are damn good and very rewatchable. If some of the same people are involved I will give it a shot.

Exactly and I'm sick and tired of this shite. Same as "the Wonder Years" but in alabama with blacks and an entirely different cast. It's a different show! Quit stealing the name and just call it something else!

Maybe they'll do a sequel to Last Man On Earth. They could call it something like Last Woman On Earth, maybe.

What's the problem? If the premise and style of the show are the same, is it that big of a deal that they want to try it with a new cast? It's not like this is a reboot and they are putting new actors in to play the original characters. It's a new story.

She was the weakest character on the show, hands down, but she had some good moments. But overall, she was hard to like.

I started a rewatch on Prime recently- it's a great, hilarious show. The rare occasions that Robin loses her s--t and screams at Barney for waking her and Lily/Marshall for their floor lamps were wonderful. Freaking talented cast for sure.
