It's currently the best active TV series and definitely in contention to be the best of all time. We'll have to see how the production team completes the series.

Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad are the creme de la creme.
I agree, but I don't understand why people are trying to say one show is better than the other. The shows satisfy different viewing tastes.

I found it boring. Quit watching. Bloodline is much better.

How far in did you quit?

I'm not big on fantasy and dragons, etc, but I've binged the entire thing twice since last October, and of course just finished season 6. I'd watch them on Sunday night and then once again later in the week. My wife thinks I'm nuts since that's pretty much what I do for AU football games.
The Wire and Breaking Bad are my top 2. I'm not sure if GoT's is better, but it's right up there. It's just a story that's on such an epic scale unlike any I've seen and has some fantastic characters. I could be totally happy binging the entire thing again.

I wish people wouldn't call this "good". Nobody in their right mind thinks it's "good". Entertaining, well made, interesting, very appealing to base natures, sure, but it's not good.

Do you know what an opinion is?
The common opinion on the show is that it's really good. And that's coming from millions of people around the world. But that's just our opinion.

I really enjoy it but
Breaking Bad is still the GOAT
Breaking Bad is still the GOAT

1a. Breaking Bad. 1b. Game of Thrones
2. Sopranos 2b. Seinfeld
3. The Wire
Breaking Bad is a good show but it is nowhere near the top tier (and CERTAINLY not better than both The Sopranos and The Wire) if only for the final season, which was kinda weak.

Jesus. Breaking Bad is so far ahead of GoT it isn't even funny.
No.

Also, the utter lack of love for The Shield in this thread is making me quite sad.

Get ready for 35 characters and 12 story lines to be thrown at you in 55 minutes.
Seriously, having a scorecard like you would for a baseball game would be helpful, early on.
But if you stick it out, the characters stabilize and level off, and so do the plots. After awhile, you begin to really get immersed in it, not for the new interesting characters and plots, but the new twists and developments of the core 20 or so.
And yes, there are definitely some unexpected gratuitous sex scenes.

I think it's great.
If you start watching it, make sure you get past the first 5 or so episodes. I found myself willing to give up on the show about that time, then it turned around quick and became my favorite show.
I didn't read the books and don't normally get into fantasy stuff these days. But the story is strong and plenty of episodes can leave you speechless.

It's well-made, appealing, and interesting BUT don't call it good?
