Fictional movie storylines are pretty standardized. They all pretty much encapsulate the same elements. What’s some new types of movies you’d like to see.

This is true for the last couple thousand years.

I didn't need the first Avatar. I certainly don't need four sequels. They can evolve by not releasing any of those to start.

I'd like to see interactive choose your own adventures, where the audience yells out what they want to happen next. This would likely lead to fights and shoot outs in some parts of town, but it won't be boring.

Cerebral films with quality acting and production.

The problem with mainstream films is just that... they are dumbed down for the mainstream audience.

Are you willing to see character interaction movies with no plot. Or orchestral films with a story but no dialogue (think a fictional koyansquatsi)

I’d just like to see more like trans and non gender binary characters, like it’s time to end the era of like cinema ruled by straight cis gendered characters

I'd like to see more diversity and comic book films.

They say there are like 5 storylines in legend that just get repeated over and over and over again.

The Greeks really cornered the market early on and nobody can get past the basic plot points.

The former, yes if there was something underneath the interactions that was interesting to look for. For example, hidden motivations or intentions.

The latter, not really. I don't care for orchestral films or plays.

I'd like to see more realistic portrayals of female comic/video game characters. Get into the role ladies and pump those assets up.

I want to see more coming of age comedies and action/comedies with fewer superhero movies. I want better dialogue and more sensible character development.

If you want to know how to do this right, watch “Superbad”. All the characters seem to act and talk like real people. The cops are a little far-fetched, but even they are believable in the context of the story.

I also want more political thrillers, like the first season of game of thrones.

Finally, more historical fiction like Knightfall and Vikings.

I’d like to see original thoughts and realistic storylines with real actors/actresses.

I’m not a fan of superhero or cartoon movies...so basically I haven’t been to the theatre in several years.

Shouting it out may not work, but a movie could definitely do this by giving the audience pads with its prompts on it and the crowd votes on the next thing to happen at certain points.

I'd like to see animation evolve to the the point to where it is absolutely indistinguishable from live action and real humans.

Movies with no actors would be sorta interesting.

Apparently most posters on here want to not suspend disbelief and they want script/concepts/world-building that is water-tight and makes sense to the current model of our current world.

So, banality.

I want to see more historical action movies about subjects not usually done.

Like something like 300 set in eastern Africa or the Middle East.
