Season 3 is going to have to step it up by A LOT. It’s sad they’re dragging this out. There’s going to be so many deaths in Season 3 if they want to keep this as a 4 season show. At this rate, they’ll try to squeeze 6 seasons out of this shite

Yep. That’s pretty sloppy since they already know where the story goes .. it’s not like they left it wide open bc they need to write its conclusion and figure out the writing

Wasn’t this billed as the explosive season finale and it’s just Alicent sneaking away to have the same conversation again with Rhaneyra over and over.
And they changed Lohar to a female for diversity !!

Awful. Boring. Slow.
This entire season could have been 3 episodes. The main battle scene appeared in episode 4 and the rest has been inane drivel and whining from the characters.
I’ve defended the show, but this is tedious and boring. What a lousy finale to a lousy season.

That was an amazing episode. Why did HBO demand they only have 8 episodes? They could have done the Gullet in episode 9 and taking Kings Landing in 10?

Dude I can't believe they didn't even show the battle. Literally nothing happened this season at all. I LOVED season 1 but season 2 is on par with season 8 of GoT

Season 2 of HOTD reminds me of Season 2 of GOT in a lot of ways. They should have made it 10 eps, but still had elite episode, a few good ones, and a few blah.

All they had to do was show the battle this season and everything else would have been forgiven but to not even get that battle is crazy.

I’m ignorant of the entire process I admit but.. ok once the season 2 writing is complete and the filming is ongoing and the editing and the promos and then the airing…
Why isn’t season 3 being written while the filming and editing for season 2 is done?
Let’s speed the process up, you know it’s renewed . And you have source material. I don’t get why there’s such a lag on it all. You have the sets all built already.
Sure the battles take time to film but that’s fine. You could have so much of it already done aside from the big battles

The choice to release this with 8 episodes is stupid as it is. Was able to cancel with only 2 billing cycles. Atleast with 10 episodes they get 3 billing cycles per user.

Alicent’s 11th hour appeal seemed forced & pointless. For all the stealth and planning that went into their first meeting, this one undercut all the precautions & risk. She just bounces over to Dragon Stone, no disguise, no cover save for the dark of night…

That episode, and most of Season 2 is a giant case of Blue Balls. The little content that actually matters is great, the other 90% is just a tease of what could be.
