That is defibitely an option but she also could have just shown more loyalty to the bastards that risked their lives to claim dragons for her. She could have easily given them whatever castles they wanted from the houses that supported the Greens. Instead she passes them over multiple times and creates resentment.
Agreed, but they may have just said frick it anyway, without her making those stupid mistakes.

I’m definitely in the camp that Daemon encouraged Oscar to put on his performance to earn his vassals respect. Daemon just needed the swords.

No, I think it clearly catches him off guard. When Daemon tries to protest, Oscar says 'do you want our swords or not?'
No, I think Oscar wanted to make sure his lords knew they were swearing fealty to the queen, not Daemon.

Daemon's ego would never allow him to be dog walked like that on purpose. He wants everyone to see him as a King and Kings don't get put in their place in front of other Lords.

I think even more than that, Oscar wanted the river lords to know he was in charge and he wasn't getting strong armed into sending their men into battle.

On what platform? Don't add a link because this isn't a leak thread.

I thought the whole point of his journey was him realizing he wasn’t the king nor had the ability to be.

I mean he continues to demand everyone call him King so if that was the whole point then I'm not sure it took hold. Maybe you are right and this is what eventually makes him sacrifice himself for the cause. Maybe he thinks "if I can't be King, then lets go down in glory."

There was a bit about this in the last after show that talked about him finally seeing Viserys at his worst, handing him the crown, that would have a heavy influence on this insistence to be King.

Also want to say while I haven't cared for how long they've lurked in Daemon Luigi's Castle at Harrenhal, I have enjoyed seeing them bringing back Paddy Considine and Milly Alcock for scenes. It was mentioned that Paddy Considine was the one that insisted he be in full decrepit makeup for that last scene with Daemon and I'm still annoyed that he wasn't nominated for his acting in Season 1.

That scene was actually fine.

the scene in the wood with Oscar and the river lords was probably my favorite of the show thus far. Finally we get some characters outside KL who have some charisma
it even had a bit of humor

Hopefully, next season we get another young charismatic Riverlord, Bloody Ben Blackwood.

Lady Jeyne Arryn Black Aly are also good characters, hopefully both get featured in season 3 with Bloody Ben.

Yes but I meant the trip with Viserys. Great point he was making.

If you trimmed the fat on the hallucinations and it was 2 or 3 succinct scenes with clear points, then it wouldn't be bad. The issue is that it lasted WAY to long. It honestly felt like some Artistic Film Snob sniffing his own farts. "LoOk At HoW DeEp AnD aRtIsTiC I aM"...

There’s 50 minutes of talking and gnashing of teeth and then 10 minutes of dragons, fire, and mayhem.
Or so I would guess.
