I took it that she gave her the Plan B drink and then paid her to go away. That's why the servant girl wasn't around after that.
yeah
no way alicent murders a chambermaid in front of witness and her God

I think he let his emotions overwhelm him. Better to live to fight another day as the second son of a great house than be looking up from the floor at the rest of his body standing there! Luc is young, Sea Snake may not be dead, lots of stuff could happen, but that doesn't matter if you are dead. The only thing that was like a boss in his action, imo, was that he did get it said loud and proud!
vaemond wanted to go out on his terms, being a martyr helps his cause to unite the factions in driftmark against the bastard Lord

She poisoned her. As was said in Game of Thrones, it's the woman's choice of killing. She doesn't react the way she does later in the show when asked about Dyana if she shipped her away, or married her off with an asston of gold. She breaks down because of the guilt she feels for murdering her to protect her family's ability to claim the Throne

It's not honor driving Vaemond, it's vanity. Otherwise he would've been the one to propose the marriage between Baela and Luc to ensure the Velaryons blood flowed in the veins of the Velaryon name

Some of the most brutal acts known to man kind were done in the name of one god or another by the most devout extremists. It's clear that Alicent is using her new found religion as a vehicle to enact her tainted form of "justice".

Did anyone else notice Aemond had a whole pig served to him at the dinner?

How could that be missed? It was clearly arranged by Jace and Luk because they immediately started laughing about it. If they didn't have that pig brought out then Aemond likely doesn't make a toast to those two Strong boys.

Hope not, shite is soapy and boring. You have 14 minutes of silence last episode but you can’t show the attack on the Sea Snake? Oh but awe shite, one guy got his head chopped off this season and we had a 2 minute sorta battle once. Series is lame as frick.

I hate The Prophecy. It was to be Jon Snow but the damn Season 8 ruined it

I think the girl is fine - I think Alicent reacted that way because that was Helaena asking her mom where the girl was because Dyana was supposed to dress the babies to get them ready for court. Helaena, her sweet daughter that Alicent betrothed and married to her rapist shitbag son because of all of this blacks vs greens political insanity going on. I think Alicent broke down because she feels like a horrible mother who has failed.

Because she has. She sacrificed her sanity and her actually RAISING them in order to protect them and further the machinations of her, Otto and their house, which is essentially what Otto did to her. He put her in this position. If he had married her off elsewhere, this wouldn’t have happened.
The difference is Otto was still able to effectively raise his children while still maneuvering them into valuable positions. A big reason for that was probably Otto’s ambition being the driving force rather than Alicent’s fear and jealousy.

And if Alicent had taken Rhaenyra's initial offer of marrying Jace to Helaena, how differently would this all be going right now? Look at how happy the two of them were dancing at dinner. Jace seems to be a kind young man who is doing his level best to prepare to be a good ruler someday. He would have been a good husband to her and taken care of her.

Yep
There comes a point where Alicent no longer gets to play the victim card from her defenders and that moment was her turning down the offer from Rhaenyra.
At that inflection point every supposed argument she had was satisfied: it ensures the safety of her children, creates a pathway for her House to rule alongside the Targaryen's, avoids open war, stitches up the discord between her and Rhaenyra and the families, creates an ironclad and stable coalition between the Targaryens, Valeryons, and Hightower's.
She chose pursuing selfish vindictiveness and for lack of a better word "owning Rhaenyra" and wanting to turn the knife in her from her jealousies(eventually literally) instead of securing her children and her House.
That agreement even avoided the worst situation, which is Aegon and his Joffrey-lite nonsense sitting the throne.
Aside from somehow putting Rhaenys on the throne, Rhaenyra than Jace/Helaena both project to be benign, good peacetime leaders that will take the role seriously.

But when the king stumbles up the steps, his crown falls off — prompting his brother, Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), to pick it up and place it back on his head in a surprisingly touching scene.
But director Geeta Patel told Entertainment Weekly that this wasn't meant to happen in the original script. Actor Matt Smith instinctively picked it up in a spot of improvisation.
Patel said: "When we were shooting that — I think the rehearsal again, the first day — the crown fell off of Paddy's head and Matt picked it up and we just kept going. We didn't stop [filming]."
It worked well to make the episode even more impactful, and the director said everyone recognized how powerful it was.
Patel added: "There was a discovery there of this moment. So then the three of us got together and they were like, 'We felt this. This felt like the turning point in our relationship.'"
The director also explained that she was "so thankful that accident happened," because it made Daemon's growth as a character feel quite heartfelt compared to how he started out at the beginning of the season.
This is the prince who schemed to steal the crown for himself before undermining the king in a variety of ways.
Patel explained: "Because it proved to be, at least for me, quite a heavy moment and quite a turning point for a storyline that had started in the pilot: 'Hey, I want your crown and by the end here I'm gonna put the crown back on your head and I'm gonna help you to your throne.'"
The director also told the outlet that the dinner scene following the moment with the crown was originally meant to include a speech from Daemon, but Entertainment Weekly noted that it was cut for time. Patel pointed out that the moment with the crown would've overshadowed Daemon's speech.
"Then when you got to the dinner, it was more of an aftermath moment. It was more about the dinner when Daemon gives that speech, there's too many people in the room almost for that to be the emotional moment," she said.

She’s just another version of Septon Moon, or the High Sparrow. Wielding righteousness and faith in order to obtain power.

I'm not certain war isn't still the final outcome in this situation. Otto and Larys aren't going to be satisfied and just stop pushing for war with Helaena as Queen. He has Alicient as queen now but that isn't good enough for him. You also have Aemond who clearly has a grudge and ambition and that doesn't change. Otto could marry Aegon and Aemond to external houses to gain more allies.
Additionally, if Jace marries Helaena then he can't marry the Velaryon girl. This would make Rhaenyras marriage offer to Rhaenys less appealing if she can only offer Lucerys. So Rhaenys and Corlys may still not recognize Jace and his line as legitimate. Especially if Rhaenys really believes Rhaenyra murdered Laenor.
Lastly you still have Daemon and Rhaenyras true born kids who will one day grow up and may want to be king as well when they realize Jace is a bastard.
