quote:because the actor matches were shite. Aemond looks like he is 28 and Aegon 22. i like the choice of Aemond. But Aegon should look older than the actor they have.
My only real issue is the actors they picked to play Aegon and Aemond. Before the previous time jump we had Aegon the tall and skinny young teen that was oblivious to everything and just wanted to goof off and drink. Then you had Aemond the quiet and short one that got his face slashed and became someone totally different after getting the dragon. Now Aemond, while still sadistic, is the tall and skinny one and Aegon is the short one and turned into a douchebag. I hate the flip flop and it makes me constantly have to think of their names besides the obvious eye patch on Aemond. They should’ve just switched the characters and kept up with one being taller than the other.
Why?
Just because the older brother is bigger as kids doesn’t mean he will be when they are men.
Aemond is obviously meant to be the more imposing figure.
hell Luke(16) and Jace(18) look like their ages. Whilw the actors for Aegon is 27. Aemond who is played by Ewan Mitchell, looks like his age is unknown. People online are saying 20 but thats not right. This was him in The Halcyon in 2017.Thats not a 13 year old. lol He is more like 28-30

They threw that egg scene in there so I'm guessing there will be a new young dragon that plays a part..

not a huge fan of the portrayal of jace in that episode
He's pretty young still. This show has changed characters personalities often with all the time jumps.
Who was the chick he started dancing with? Obviously she's Aegons wife but she's blonde too. Is she also a Targ or from somewhere else?

in the books he's politically savvy, a decent fighter, and pivotal in the dance of dragons. lasts nights episode just made him look really cringe overall
The last supper seemed to be laying out his development in that case then.
He was politically savvy enough not to let his temper overcome him when he made the toast. And although he was aware that Aemond was a skilled fighter, he didn’t hesitate to land that punch.
Maybe he’ll dedicate himself to learning how to fight so he stops getting physically manhandled by his uncles

Anyone else wondering what happened to Sea Smoke? Just chilling out doing dragon things somewhere? I’m assuming he can’t be claimed since his rider hasn’t passed.
Well that’s an interesting twist

In theory she would take over, but it would seem the Hightower's are going to do everything in their power to prevent that
Clearly. She's going to scream to the high heavens that he named Aegon his heir on his deathbed and dare anyone to call Her Grace, the now Queen Mother a liar.

She's hot and in charge. She does what she must to protect the family. She's original mafia. Still team Alicent. Now her kids are spoiled psychopaths, but That's just in the blood, not her fault at all.

I bet the girl was shipped off somewhere. Maybe even forced to marry. That’s typically the Westeros way for wayward girls that get into similar situations, whether raped or sleeping around.

Without giving anything away I believe one of the final major events of this season will involve some dragon combat. Next season will have a lot more but it seems like they would want to end this season with a bang.

I’m interested in how the writers will handle this.
Not going to spoil anything, but in the books you do see Sea Smoke again.
ETA: is it really a spoiler to say that we’re going to see a dragon that isn’t dead again?

is there any instance in the books where a rider abandoned his/her dragon? I don’t think there is...

Well Reynira told hot Alicent that she would return via dragon. So hmmmmm.

Not that I can recall, but I don’t have them committed to memory either

Love the symbolism of Haelena and Jace dancing being the start of “The Dance of Dragons”
