I would assume so yes.

I just want to know the justification for Cole still being a member of the Kingsguard after turning a dude’s face into a ragu in the middle of a royal wedding feast. Because the Queen said it was all fine? Why was Viserys ok with that? Why would Rhaenyra be ok with that? Either of them could at least send him to the Wall against the Queen’s will and nobody would care.

Viserys at that point was spitting up blood so I imagine he wasn’t going to get too riled up. Rhaenyra was likely put in a tough spot to speak up due to her illicit relationship with Cole and Alicent has basically been serving as regent with the King’s poor health.

It was better done in the book IMO. It all played out at a jousting event (he also injured Harwin at that too) for the wedding.

Yet he’s still alive 15 years later. There’s plenty of time for him to have given a shite.

Obviously Alicent wears the pants in that marriage.

Rhaenyra should be scared shitless of the king dying.

So they were showing a naked underage boy jacking off and kept him naked for the scene. And happened to give him the androgynous look? No agenda there.

Most people either said ewww, or cracked a quick joke or two.

Seems like you really studied this particular scene though. Got something you wanna let off your chest? Did it hit too close to your personal tastes?

I didn't know Aegon was played by David Tennant's son.

He looks like someone dunked the Stranger Things kid in bleach.

I have a question: I assume this series is worth a watch? I've tried my best to avoid spoilers but the general consensus seems to be that it's good, correct?

I have all 6 recorded on my DVR and am trying to decide if I want to catch up and watch live, or just wait and binge the whole season. So basically, I guess I'm asking if the show is "good enough" that I should catch up and watch live..?

Sorry for dropping in without show discussion, but all input is appreciated.

I’m sorry, but what?

The entire episode was about this

I started the episode late and posted that question about a few minutes in.. before it become super evident what the episode was about

But my 18 downvotes indicate what a tolerant group we are. I'm not as dumb as my post may have suggested.

Idk about excellent, but it’s pretty good. Like others have mentioned, it’s pretty self serious and could use some levity.

It seems like there’s more than enough meat on the bone for the stuff with the younger actors to have been an entire season, and then do the time change in a separate season.

I can understand the time jump within a season, to maintain the plot's inertia and let the audience know who everyone (generally) is. If we had started S2 with all new characters I think people would throw an absolute fit.

With that said, I thought I had a good idea of where they'd end this season to set up for the next...but at this point I've got no clue. They are really rolling.

This is set 200 years before S1 Game of Thrones?

Do you think the series will cover all those 200? Ending with the Mad King.

I think this just about the Targaryen civil war mostly.

No rewatches. Just found it disturbing and it had no place in the show.

Were you equally disturbed last week when the underage princess fricked the grown man assigned to protect her?

I know I may be in the minority, but I’m really liking the week to week feel of some of these shows. It lets you get a bit of a break between episodes and gives you time to talk with your friends / whoever you’re watching it with and helps to build tension instead of just exploding the entire season in a day.

I'm kind of bummed that Harwin Strong died. He seemed like one of the few actual likable characters in the show.

1. Alicent can get fricked. Otto did this to her by offering up his very young daughter to the king

2. Viserys is a sackless bag now. He is king yet he lets Alicent make the decisions at small council.

3. Train is off the rails regarding small council. A mummers farce.

4. Ser Laenor is a dropping his end of the deal mightily. Absolutely useless in every sense of the word.

5. WTF is Daemon going to do now with two young daughters and no home?

6. Rhaenyra was smart to get back to Dragon Stone as Viserys will die any minute and she can be out of sight and have good defenses.

7. Alicent's kids are douchey. Rhaenyra's way more likable. I hope that Jaecarys stabs Aemon in the throat.
