My thought was he really loves her and that was the only way to protect her from people who would use knowledge as leverage especially leverage he is responsible for. Kill the gay guy and himself and he protects her from his sin.

The show is exceeding expectations.
I have noticed that you can really tell it’s based on a history book and not a fleshed out novel.
Even without the time jumps, it’s flying from important scene to important scene. No filler.

I can’t find it but Paddy Considine did an interview not long ago on a podcast that said it’s a “type of leprosy”. So not greystone but something that is progressive and deteriorating.

Idk I thought it was pretty slow going. The fight scene was confusing.
Not sure why Alicent is all upset. Her father tried to say she she fricked her uncle. She didn’t, and technically she didn’t lie.
Previews look good an assume she will still have sir Cristons babies, or at least some other bloke since they are coming out brown haired and white.

I'm kinda pissed they're recasting Allicent and Rhaenyra. Both were fantastic. I find it hard to believe they couldn't put some makeup on to age them a bit.

not that complicated. she thinks R is a virgin. R definitely lied to her either directly or via omission about remaining a maiden. She thinks that being sullied ruins the name/being wed to a lord also her father is actively trying to turn her against R, so her son can be king... she is upset for obvious reasons.
