you can tell by the next episode preview that the build up is all over. now the cruelty and ruthlessness that made GoT famous is all were gonna see from here on out.

Otto just got canned, their grandson has a legitimate claim to the throne and viserys is weak and ill. Not so much treason as it is support of their family and claim. The Hightowers control oldtown and thus the maesters. They have power and influence

Yeah I was confused by this as well. Like I get you’re pissed your friend lied and had your father sent away but he also used you and you know it. And to openly defy your husband, when he didn’t wrong you but your friend did…just left a foul taste in my mouth
That and Criston Cole snapping just didn’t add up to me tonight despite this being one of my favorite episodes of the series. Maybe if there was more build up of Criston not being able to withstand the mental fortitude of playing the game and losing his honor. I never got from him that it was THAT big a deal. We had to watch some actors that either sucked and we hated for years in GOT. These girls have been great, bummer.
