Daemon is cold blooded as frick. When keeping it real goes wrong for that guy.
Posted on 9/19/22 at 3:53 pm to DestrehanTiger
At a basic level, Daemon is this show's Jazzy J and King Viserys is Uncle Phil
No matter how many times Uncle Phil throws him outside the house, he keeps crawling back in

I'd put Daemon and Rhaenyra on the crazy side though
He's on the good side, just weak
For sure Daemon. As far as the show goes, I think the coin is still in the air with Rhaenyra.
Viserys gets dunked on a lot for being weak, but he's a good king. I mean he's kept the peace and it's not going to be until he dies or can't rule anymore when things fall apart. There's something to be said for that.

I agree that he's not bad on the surface, but I guess since we have the benefit of knowing how the dynasty/story will unfold over time, we see how a lot of his decisions are what starts the long decline of his house.
His biggest weakness might be that he's too good/nice, which is why he doesn't see others playing him like a fiddle for their own gain, since he doesn't think/act that way.

Eh, most of the nobles know that war is coming as soon as he dies. That's mostly on him. Sure, this all could've been avoided if Rhaenyra was a male, but she wasn't. He also waffled on the decision until his first wife died.
It was also an issue that he was keenly aware of. He is king due to the realm not wanting a female ruler. I understand saying that Daemon is the heir until he produces a son is a horrible decision. I'm not claiming that he had easy choices. I just think his indecision is what has caused the issue. If it took so long for him to decide that Rhaenyra is the heir, it will be tough to swallow for non-family.
I actually think the fight at the wedding feast is a great example. He is the king and all of the guests are in his throne room. He didn't say anything as chaos ensued.

My first thought when the fight broke out. He should have just been able to slightly raise his voice, and the whole room should have stopped dead in their tracks. EX: King Bobby B during the fight at his tourney.
He was probably already disheartened with the upstaging from Alicent mid-speech/green dress move, so he was in pure "frick it, they don't listen to me" mode.

I think she’ll be great.

No one has mentioned how Rheanerya told daemon that she wanted him to take her to Dragonstone with him, and they almost started mugging down again.
Was she fricking with him or does she really want out?

The dry humping had nothing to do with that
You totally missed the point of the scene. Just say you hate gays

I think FreeFolk has bought back in and had some dandies.
Ser Criston had a bad week

She was fricking with him, at least in that moment. She was essentially calling him a pussy.

They've spent the entire show making "frick me" eyes at one another, so I think they're just regular old Targaryens trying to tickle each other's fancy

Rewatching this episode and that gay guy was really dumb in telling Criston he knew about him and Rhenerya. I get it was an attempt to cover their secret up but you’re blackmailing a knight sworn to protect the princess.
Must have had some liquid courage to pull a stunt like that. If a dude is as “count struck” as you say why would you go over and prod him about it lol

Meanwhile on the other end of the confession spectrum, we have Daemon accused of murdering his wife, and just choosing to look into that man's soul and ask him when he'll be inheriting his wife's title in the Vale
That was the best scene of the episode.

It was dumb for sure. He gave up info for nothing in return. I bet he thought it would be good to have a kingsguard to help him continue his relationship with the future king though and he honestly was doing cole a favor

I didn't think so. I think she wanted that deep down. She wants a feisty fighter man that takes charge and takes care of business. She wants a warrior. Plus She's down with any uncle D.

i think i agree with this since its now clearly established that she is a total freak. Also, she knew Cole wants out so she needs another whore to fill the role.
