Was that the same dagger used to try and kill Bran Stark in season 1 of GOT?

While I liked the first episode very much, I hope focusing on just one house will hold my attention. In GOT, I liked the jumping around from all of the great houses with their individual storylines that eventually tied into the main story.

I realize at this point all houses are essentially subjugated with the fear of being burned to ashes with dragon fire.

It was.... okay. A lot of the acting seemed stiff, and nobody has the charisma we saw with the first show.

Let's see if it picks up in a few episodes

I thought it was very good. They could have made it clearer that the queen was going to die no matter what though

I'll keep it up. Not bad first episode. But I could have gone without watching a fricking C-section

Some of the cast is hard to like

It wasn't bad, but not terribly interesting either. It looked good to me, and my cgi standards are not that high.

It will be interesting to see how they bend some of the angles in the plot. IIRC, it's a lot of treacherous women manipulating people and fricking up the world. I'm hoping sjw fans read the books for that reason.

I'll trudge on, but if she turns out to be a lesbian, I'm out.

ETA: and I'm pretty sure they don't hack each other up at the tournaments.

The c section was well done I thought. Not gruesome. The damn castration, though….

I'm all on board. I was worried it would be crap but I'm excited now. Looks like we may have a winner for the next several years unless they D&D it.

I enjoyed it. C-section was brutal.

You guys know the routine, need some character development.

I enjoyed this episode. Felt like Game of Thrones was back and this was a good start.

I don’t think there will ever be a first episode of any series that will be as good as GOT S1E1. So let’s just get that out of the way.

This was a very good first episode. Characters are good so far. Story is good so far. The callbacks to GOT are well done. Love Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra. I’m sure Elf Daemon will get better. Dragons are fine.

Looking forward to this! Can’t wait for episode 9.

I mean they told him he could either pick between saving the child or likely lose both and “give it to the Gods”.

Breeched babies kind of have a history of killing mothers before we were capable of c-sections that wouldn’t kill you (and even now they still can).

8/10. Based on this episode, I’ll definitely be watching them as they come out.

I enjoyed it.
Kept thinking of the first GOT episodes..
Kind of put the main plot into perspective.
First episode of GOT was really just introduction and then a kid got pushed out of a building.
This one got brutal quick. All I want now is fighters brought in. You need a Mountain, a Hound, a Viper, Brianne.
Someone you just don't cross swords with.

Haven't read the books.

When this board hates something they really go whole hog. I’m willing to give it a few episodes.

I’m enjoying the first episode. Noticeable shift in this thread from the lead up to now us actually watching it
