Erryk and Arryk Brothers who are Kingsguard.

Where I need clarification is which one was fighting Cole and which one helped get Rhaenys out?

Also, I didn’t understand that scene when they found him. Why were they sword fighting? Was there ever a plot to kill Aegon?

They’re twin brothers who were both on the kings guard, and from the looks of it will take different sides in the coming fight.

Anyway, they were trying to get Aegon and take him to Otto. Cole and Aemond wanted him to take him to Alicent. That’s important because Alicent was able to dictate the terms of his coronation and had his ear to try and convince him to not kill Rhaenyra… which Otto wanted him to do.

I'm not 100% sold they were actually both on board with giving him to Otto, there was a weird conversation as they were going through the city and in the child pits showing off the fighting and Aegon's bastard about how this was the sort of piece of shite Aegon was and now they wanted to make him king. I think one of the brothers might have been happy to end him instead of turning him over but I don't know if that was the one that had him and fought Cristin or the one that ran away.

It’s not in the books but is a great addition,

I actually really wish they had left the dagger out. It's a constant reminder of the slap in the face that was GOT S8. I think the show would've been better off separating itself more. But it's a minor issue

So ole girl could’ve ended this entire thing with a single drakaris?

First episode I felt the show fell into some plot contrivances and put spectacle over logic/reason.(not 15 minutes earlier Rhaenys is told she cant go get her dragons cause the Hightower's anticipated that and will have it heavily guarded, then she just waltzs into the pit through a convenient unguarded side entrance, decides to kill a bunch of civilians and not do the thing that would protect her family and prevent escalatory bloodshed in the realm)

For his sake I hope so. He's been so pussy whipped this entire series and as the young kids call it a total "simp"

I think they attempted to explain this with the military presence at the coronation. The massive amount of guards they utilized to heard the population into the area, then escort the king, implies they probably pulled guards from elsewhere (the pit) and were lacking at that particular time.

Not my favorite episode. It wasn’t terrible, but spent too much time playing Where’s Aegon before they found him. Other than that it was fine. I did expect more action this episode. The end of the episode was excellent. Next episode should be epic, hopefully.

Yeah… this makes sense. With everything else going on, it was very plausible for her to slip away unnoticed. I didn’t have a problem with it.

That would be plausible, but the only thing established in the episode itself was that the Hightower's would have the pit heavily guarded. It's something one additional scene of dialogue could have aided.

Same with her not just dracarys'ing the whole family.

I'm choosing to believe that the guards were close enough to the dragon that she could've had them toasted if they tried to stop her. Or they also mentioned some of the gold cloaks were still loyal to Daemon so maybe the guards let her in. Or there could be some of the dragon pit masters that were still loyal to Rhaneyra. There's clearly divisiveness within kings landing.

This is what makes it hard to believe that she didn't kill Aegon due to not wanting to upset the common folk and turn them against her. She just killed a frick ton of them

Pfft. Those folks were gambling on child underground fighting rings a few hours earlier. They don’t care if the person next to them gets crushed by a dragon.

Now, kill the family that allows them to do said gambling? Then they’d have a problem.

Even seemed like the citizens were hesitant to cheer Aegon being crowned as their new king. They’d been expecting Rhaenyra as the successor for 20 years or so, and all of a sudden they get told Viserys is dead and his proclaimed heir is being usurped

It’s Erryk who isn’t liking what he’s seeing of the Hightower faction. It’s also him who was fighting with Criston Cole and who later helps Rhaenys escape.

I get the strange feeling that they’re gonna show us Larys’ gimp and mangled foot eventually and you’d better hope you’re not eating when they do.

"The Blood Wyrm" sounds like some new age TikTok generation slang.

Ridin on the Blood Wyrm, slime. No cap. Sunfyre is mid.
