That Carrie expression at the end will be a great GIF.

That face
There were 2 retarded things that Carrie did:
1. Take the fricking wig off and go back to being blonde during the chase you dumbass
2. To actually believe they would give her the pills she needed was absolute ignorance
I believe Carrie is coming back brainwashed, 7 months with no pills is more than enough time for Yevgeny to convince Carrie that Saul and the US is her enemy. She’s certifiable now and I’m not putting it past them to have her start out as a flipped Russian agent next season

The last 2 episodes were great, especially the second to last. Smart, relevant, entertaining, etc.
The ending shot shows just how invested these writers are into Carrie's mental illness. I'll never understand why that has to always swoop in and resume its spot as the dominant theme. Geopolitics and intelligence operations aren't dramatic enough, we have to continue pushing a totally unrealistic character attribute?
Anyway, the last 5 minutes was a buzzkill because they're quadrupling down on a dumb part of the storyline, but it doesn't change that the show, when it wants to, can still be top class TV.

Yeah I loved the episode until the last 5 minutes. Why would Keane do that?
The 7 months later Carrie exchange was LOL funny

They kind of shot themselves in the foot the last 2 years as the Russian conspiracy in the real world that they were basing the plot on backfired and the Dems turned out to be the guilty party.
And the 25th bullshite.
I think having Keane resign is a hail Mary by Hollywood.... Maybe Trump will just resign, even though he has been exonerated, for the healing of the country.
The sad thing is that as ridiculous as this sounds there is a 95% chance I am right.
On the bright side, hopefully they have learned their lesson, focus on spy shite and leave political hackery out of it.

I think Keane resigning was a good plot point setting up next season. Beau Bridges is FAR more compelling as the President and perhaps we will get to see the CIA/Deep State storyline play out.
I find it kind of ironic that they center the show around the CIA but they dont really acknowledge the existence of the NSA. Saul's rag tag team in the basement is the exact type of work the NSA does with hundreds of analysts and far more sophisticated computers/access
hopefully next year we see less Carrie and more Dar/Saul/Deep State stuff

the only thing i would have wanted to see from the finale is Paley's aide go to prison also.

She turned States Evidence against Paley

which sucks because you could tell Paley was conflicted the moment he found out about possible Russian involvement. Yet the aide was the one pushing him to sweep the truth under the rug.

true but Paley was the one standing in the Oval trying to get the new POTUS to betray Keane and tip off the Russians about Simone

I love this show, but that bit with Carrie at the end was so fricking lame. Cringe worthy.

That was actually great, subtle writing. As someone who spent time in DC and worked with the federal government I can tell you that the primary guilty parties are rarely the ones punished. The public doesn’t want to see the Senators Aide led out in habdcuffs, they want the Senator. So deals are cut and actual guilt is secondary to the optics. I would have liked to see them use two minutes to show a scene with her and her lawyers giving up the Senator to save her butt. Not as sexy as spy drama but a true view of the dirty side of what goes on in DC.

Don’t forget Russian interference. It’s spooky.
