Simpsons too low
South Park too low
Friends too high
Seinfeld too low
Big Bang Theory too high

No Archer, Futurama, or King of the Hill in the top 100?

Animation generally got the shaft in this. The Simpsons is without question in the Top 5 series ever. I really think as far as quality is concerned, any list without Avatar is ridiculous. No show has told a complete story better than that series and tied it together as well with great characters. Instead most go the "House of Cards" route and drive great series into the ground in the name of money.

Weird list. Friends at #1 is just odd. I guess the show made people happy, but it seems like it was for.....uh....basic bitches. Seinfeld & Sopranos ftw

I'm not the biggest Simpsons fan (probably wouldn't make my top 30 favorites), but its importance is unquestionable. It paved the way for both animation and vulgarity in television. Yeah, it's not what it once was, but it has more than proven its worth.

lot of recency bias in the depths of that list

no Beverly Hillbillies?

I guess a lot of its fans are dead. It got huge ratings back in the day.

GoT in the top ten when (1) it isn't even over and (2) the most recent season was anything but exceptional
Completely ridiculous list.

I'm surprised BBT wasn't #2 after Friends.

Game of Thrones shouldn't be in the Top 10 because it hasn't finished yet.

And M*A*S*H is easily a Top 10/Top 5 TV show.

It's got the old doctor who but not the newer stuff. I disagree with that. Not arguing that the old shouldn't be on there, but the new doctor who should. I agree with most shows in the list but not the order. I thought scrubs, South Park, next generation, and flying circus wasn't ranked correctly and should have a lower seed. At the same time, while I love the show, orphan black should of been towards
the back if even in the list this early.

Edit: lower as in closer to one not 100

Yep. Seriously, name a more satisfying scene than when Zuko calls out his father for his sociopathic bullshite? One of the best scenes ever written, where they mock each other back and forth, and there's a clear victor in the end.

The Simpsons is definitely top ten. It blows goats nowadays, but was fantastic for 15+ years. If they ended it when they should have, it would be top 5.

And any list without The Wire, isn't a list worth reading.

The Wire was on the list, just not top 10. 2/5ths of the series was really good, the remaining 3/5ths drag it down.

Yeah no. On any account.

And I'm a huge Friends fan, but no way is it #1 of all time. No way. Top 20, easily, Top 10...eh.

I mean a Top 10 should have something like Lucy (check), Twilight Zone, X-Files (check), Cheers, Seinfeld (check), Homicide, SNL, etc.

Cult of the new all up in this list. And even as a Lost-dissenter, it might deserve a spot in the Top 10 over GoT, Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Whaaat the fuuuck.

Friends isn't > Seinfeld

Breaking Bad is number 7 at the highest.

GOT and X-Files shouldn't even be top ten.

Saturday Night Live has nothing aside from longevity to put it in the top 10.

Seinfeld, The Sopranos, and The Simpsons should be 1,2,3.
