seriously had no clue who Jeanette was. Read the wiki and still don't remember anything about her. Really shows how shitty season 8 was. I feel like i remember everything about the show but those episodes were extremely forgettable

She was the one that stalked him after he was on the magazine and he started going out with her anyway and she ended up locking herself in his apartment burning his shite and throwing it out the window.

I was shocked that they had Ted actually start saying the shite that he did. She's the only one, he still loves her and that was what caused Victoria and he to break up. What the frick Ted? I wish Barney would beat the brakes off the cock blocking beta. And by the end, I was actually expecting him to pull the locket out and giving it to her with a cut scene showing him jumping off the bridge to go get it.

I fully expect him to give her the locket by the end of this season.

Oh yeah, they've built that up way too many episodes for THAT to be the end of the locket.

Nothing surprises me at this point though. I just don't get how they can feed us crap for weeks when we just saw how capable they are at making a good episode

I thought barney's storline was kinda lame.

I wasn't really feeling this episode overall, although I LOVED the last episode so I guess there was nowhere to go but down. The marshall/lily storyline gave us some closure on that issue as they resolved their situation and made up, so that was productive. I don't really understand the ted/robin storyline. It's like the writers can't decide if they want ted to move on or be a permabitch and still not be over here. He'll be doing great, then the next episode he's a little bitch again.

The barney storline seemed pretty forced. It was like they had nothing for him to do this episode so they threw that together.

While I think they did a poor job of it, I feel like they were trying to draw a parallel between the mother and Ted in back to back episodes. They both are literally looking to the sky when they decide to let go and move on. They also both did so on the day of the wedding (I assume the mother did it after midnight). Now they will meet each other on the same day that they both let go of past love.

Well I completley didn't even think of that while watching, but that does make sense.

And, how many times has Ted "moved on" away from Robin?
Seems like about twice a season he has some dramatic epiphany, and "moves on"...or, "lets her go".
And then, poof, he's swooning over her again.
Stupid writers.

I think the episode made sense in that we knew at some point Ted/Robin were going to have a final confrontation involving the locket and Ted finally letting her go. It was inevitable. With that said, thank god it is over bc they have been draggggging out the Ted/Robin idea for way too long now.

I hate how the tables were turned and Marshall became the bad guy.

If lily would have acted like a twat and at least discussed the plans with Marshall nothing mean would have been said.

Instead we get: we're going to Italy and nothing can change that.

I rather enjoyed the Lily/Marshall storyline this week. It was a really good message for married people. As much as I want Marshall to slap all that bad shite Lily did to him in the past in her face, that doesn't lead to a successful marriage. You got to let that shite go and move on. I am guilty of doing it to my wife and it has caused nothing but trouble.

It helped that Lily admitted it wasn't staying in New York that pissed her off, it was being left out of the conversation where he decided to take it that did it. I know he didn't have time to really discuss it with her and she should of discussed that, but sometimes women just aren't logical.

I don't think he will ever really let her go til he moves on, this is just him trying to convince himself that he has let her go....again.

But this time it's for REAL.

If he speaks up and objects during the wedding I'm punching the TV.

I don't think Ted would do that to his friends. Seems out of character for him.

Sounds EXACTLY like Ted.
