Regardless there's like a 95% chance they make Hermione black and theyll definitely race swap at least one of prominent Hogwarts teachers.

Bold move if they do. WB-Discovery isn’t in a great financial position to risk bombing on a big budget project for an IP that should be a cash cow for them. They aren’t Disney with merchandising and theme park profits (outside of HP licensing deal to Universal) to help offset woke movies and shows that flop.

There's going to be a race swap, everyone already knows that Hermione will be black because she already was in The Cursed Child and JK has hinted at Hermione being black several times. I don't think it will be *too* bad after the initial firestorm.

I’m more worried about the quality of the show over whatever race characters will be. Most people will get over it if the show is good but if it bombs yeesh. Ever since Zasalv took over HBO has made some questionable decisions to say the least, dude looks to be in way over his head and has pissed off a lot of people. Not sure why they just didn’t make a show set in the universe instead of retelling the movies

I doubt Driver wants to commit the next decade of his life to this unless they are paying him something obscene.
