Have you ever lost interest in a TV series that was a must watch over multiple seasons?

The Walking Dead has entered that category for me. Haven’t watched an episode of this season and still have 3 episodes left from last season on my DVR. I can’t bring myself to watch any of the episodes. I was so invested in this series and now I just don’t care.

Had Prison Break lasted a few more seasons, it would have been another series like that for me.

Lost is another

What other series do you have?

Mad Men lost interest for me, eventually just quit.

Walking Dead is close... I watched a few this season but am consistently behind.

ETA: House of Cards as well, completely lost interest.

The Office. It was tough to push through those last couple seasons without Michael.

TWD has entered that place for me. I find myself actually fast forwarding through scenes.

Good one. I still haven’t watched the last season of that after binging all the previous seasons as soon as they came out

My wife and I watched episode 1 of Walking Dead, but haven't gotten around to watching any more of this season. With a 10 month old, Christmas season, Stranger Things, and, eventually, Peaky Blinders, I can see us just forgetting to watch it and being done with the show.

24 dropped in quality a good bit after season 5. I don't think I even finished season 6. Tried to watch the other seasons but couldn't get into it. The 12 hour season was great though.

It's pretty much my MO. There are only a few shows where I've seen every episode - Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, Deadwood, The Wire, and Boardwalk Empire. I've only missed a few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

It's not that I lose interest though. I just get busy with other stuff and never get back around to picking a series back up.

Walking dead.
They lost me after the mid-season finale in season 4. Once the governor was killed and the second half of the season didn't really have any direction, I lost all interest. At this point I don't even try to keep up with it.

Not sure if these were "must watch" but Ray Donovan and The Affair come to mind.

Agents of SHIELD (forced myself to watch the first two seasons)
Lost
Pawn Stars and American Pickers (can't believe I DVRd these shows)
Star Trek: Enterprise

And the Marvel Netflix series.

We liked Daredevil and loved Jessica Jones. We dropped out of Season 2 of Daredevil (mid-season) and haven't had much interest in catching up with the rest of the shows.

I stayed with it until Season 7.

*Spoiler*

That one ended with Jack in the hospital after getting dosed with weaponized prion pathogen, giving him a form of Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease or some other spongiform encephalopathy. I don't care if they somehow had an in-world cure to stop/reverse the damage to his brain...he wouldn't be coming back as a badass counter-terrorism agent in Season 8 after having his brain resemble a sponge. Season 8 would have been Jack in rehab learning how to wipe his arse again.

As others have said, definitely House of Cards for me. Can’t think of anything else as far as something that was a must watch. TWD annoys me, but I know I will keep watching.

yep

Lost after a few seasons, I just gave up.

I see someone started a thread on the new Vikings season, I was really all-in on that for the first few seasons. I checked out after they finished Ragnar's story.
