Its just another of your trollish posts disguised as a legitimate attempt at discussion.

Actually, you are wrong about me.

Actually, he isn't wrong about how you are. Maybe this thread in particular is meant to be serious, but all in all you're a pretty awful troll around here and everyone knows as much. shite, you've even admitted on here that you troll the MSB all the time and try to point out the idiocy of people on there (hint: it's backfiring).

And you're now to the point in this thread where you're posting article after article about this very topic...which likely means you, yourself, have plagiarized those articles in lieu of your own opinions on the subject.

But by all means, please continue...because I, and I'm sure most others, sure as hell do enjoy laughing at you (not with you).

Actually I posted that originally in the OT Lounge where the OP had started the same thread, it got whacked so I moved over here. However the OP responded to me in this thread.
So he's replying to posts from another thread, complete with quotes. Gotcha.

...and, for what it's worth, when the Cardinals win the World Series this year I won't need to visit the MSB to rustle their jimmies. Secret plan very much in progress.

Just did a google search with the keywords "similarities between Harry Potter and Young Sherlock Holmes" and sure enough other people have noticed it too...
I like how you present it as if you just had this original idea and did all this research into it, then afterwards googled to see if anyone else agreed.

Lol this shite has been posted before and is all over the internet, you didnt come up with shite. You plagarized countless other sources on the internet that discuss this idea and passed it off as your own.

I hate to burst your bubble Killz... but this pretty weak sauce. Now, if you want to say that Rowling... borrowed... the look and concept of Harry Potter from Neil Gaiman's Books of Magic series then you probably would have some solid ground to stand on.

Movies, especially those with young characters, tend to be fairly similar for good reason. Now I won't deny Young Sherlock Holmes is the bomb, it is a great movie, but there really aren't any smoking guns connecting the two other then the well established teen hero story.

Whereas Rowling has admitted she was reading the Books of Magic comic books when she first started writing the Harry Potter stuff. It is out there, you just have to look for it. Its like when the late Terry Pratchett bitch slapped Rowling when she claimed she didn't know she was writing fantasy until after the first few Harry Potter books were published. It is a bit sordid, and funny, but if you look online you can find it.

So, yes, Rowling was "influenced" by other people's works. Gaiman was influenced by Pratchett. Pratchett was influenced by Tolkien. Tolkien was influenced by Beowulf and the Kalevela. Those writers were probably influenced by psychedelic reindeer urine.

No. Really. It is revolting but true. Best to not peer too deeply into that abyss though.
