Just an awful episode. I actually like the pirate guys character despite not really having a point, but Asian girl is so bad.

Right. Blonde hair chick is the most interesting character and no where to be seen. No master chief for 99.9% of the episode.

I watched about 15 minutes then fast forwarded the whole remainder of the episode. Life is too short for Kwan Ha and whatever Madrigal is supposed to be.

At this point I would go to a comic con if they had a panel for the writer else. I really want to know wtf they are trying to do here. I feel like we are aimlessly wandering in a show that was written on the back of a napkin

Am 100% convinced they made master chief weak because he's male and added Kwan hahaha for representation purposes.

So two things here:
1. I can see a lot of complaints about Master Chief, but weak? They absolutely did not make him weak.
2. That is an OT6 at worst, and only because of the nose.
I do agree that the Kwan Ha storyline feels entirely pointless.
As for Master Chief, I can see where they’re going. They’re setting him up for a painful reminder that he’s actually fighting a war for humanity, after which he will suit up and absolutely wreck shop. It makes sense that he would have an overall arc that generally follows that path, they’ve just completely shite the bed in the execution.

For starters, I fricking loved the fight scene with chief unsuited vs the 2 Spartans. Loved the creativity with the weight room equip. Watched it twice.
Loved the episode. Once again not a Halo player and know nothing of the lore but as a sci fi show this is very well done imo. Better than average acting, beautiful sets, etc. They're setting up for several seasons and this one will make sense in the long run. You can't just run it like the damn video games, only a few million nerds would ever watch that. Its just not sustainable. Only complaint is Asian girl obv.
Lady gaga is hot for someone with short hair. That scene where she pulled her finger nail out made me so uncomfortable. They're setting him up to be angry and vengeful. It's obvious him and lady Brienne gonna be a thing at some point. She's gonna save him at beginning of next episode for sure.
