Hallmark cuts ties with Lori Loughlin *update* also fired from Fuller House

Hallmark is pulling an upcoming episode of the show, which was due to air this weekend.
“We are no longer airing the episode on March 17, but we are not cancelling the show,” a representative for Crown Media, Hallmark’s parent company, told Variety. “The show is one of our best performers in the Sunday night slot, and were are exploring all sorts of creative options moving forward.”
The “Fuller House” star surrendered to authorities on Wednesday morning, and was in Canada shooting the period drama when arrests were made. Loughlin has also made regular appearances in the channel’s show “Garage Sale Mysteries,” as well as in a series of Christmas movies.
“We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations. We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including ‘Garage Sale Mysteries,’ an independent third party production,” the Crown Media said in a statement.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a little overboard? While a shitty thing to do I'm not exactly sure why so many are so angry about it. Rich people buy their way into shite all the time. They especially do it for their kids. Again, I'm not saying what she did was right but I really don't see why her she should be kicked off her show and be effectively banned from Hallmark. Of all the crimes that could kill your career in Hollywood how in the hell is this something than warrants such swift action? I don't even really see how what she did was all that different than donating money for a building.

Hallmark is a good, wholesome, family channel. They have an image to protect. Most other channels would probably wait until she was convicted.

Yeah I don't give a frick, this was the old Yale and Harvard system.
Bribery technically everyone wins.
Now the NCAA will strip titles or do some usual ridiculous shite across the board.
She wasn't on the rowing team, all titles of the rowing team are stripped!
Her family paid a ridiculous amount. For what? An already expensive college degree? What a waste of money...but that's between the school and the stupid parents.
Nobody is outraged over this but the worthless FBI that has real world problems and yet seems bored out of its arse to go after parents sneaking their kids into college.
Seriously, who fricking cares? Feed the hungry, investigate the serial killers, stop mass drug importation and illegal immigration of violent criminals.
I don't care that Susie Q got into NYU because her parents paid the admissions office.
FBI always pulls this shite. They set up stings on stuff nobody cares about and isn't hurting anyone.
Just to avoid the real world problems.

This is just stupid. They've already shot the show, Lori's been payed. What is the point in not airing it? I can see writing her off the show. But what's the point in not airing already shot episodes? I suppose they will never air another rerun of an episode she's in and never air another one of her Christmas movies.

I think this is the reason. If this bribery scandal was made into a Hallmark movie, Lori would be the villain.
I think Lori's biggest crime is that she raised what appears to be a horrible shallow vapid young woman.

I think it’s great.
Don’t get me wrong, it sucks for Aunt Becky, but I love seeing the faux outrage from the rich, privileged, Hollywood elite as it just further exposes them for the hypocrites they truly are. They claim to stand for all these causes when in reality they stand for nothing but themselves
Anytime I get to watch them eat their own is a good thing IMO

Lori and her daughter run the local bakery in an idyllic mountain town that has the most popular Christmas festival in the entire world. They are looking to put the other bakery in town out of business.
Lacey Chabert's mom, played by Candace Cameron Bure (who traveled forward in time after hitting her head) just happens to own the other bakery. Lacey comes in and helps save her mom's bakery.
Lori and her daughter realize the error of their ways.
Happiness ensues.

It may have been overblown if they only gave money to get their kids into college.
But to pay to have someone help you cheat the entrance exams or whatever for your daughter..she deserves everything she is getting.
Everybody else gotta pass the test by knowledge or cheat with notes on your hand and risk getting caught lol. We didn't take the easy route of using dads and momma's money.

Roman Polanski pleaded guilty to raping a 13 year old girl and is still making movies and has won awards and lifetime awards since he has fled the country to avoid punishment.
As for Loughlin, rich people pay for their kids to get in school but this isn't exactly the same thing. This scam, for my understanding, is more about cheating the entrance requirements. Had she walked up and given USC a check for 500k and said that both of her kids were going there, they would have allowed them both in to frick off a bit and Lori wouldn't be dealing with legal issues.

All of this. If you're rich enough, just walk up and pay your way in. May have even been cheaper.

I loathe this line of thinking. You really think that this what they set out to investigate initially? No, they were investigating something bigger and were led down this rabbit hole. They could not ignore it! Hell, who knows where this could lead.
