I liked it. Not the greatest but its was good for what is was.

Basically a bunch of one liners by Sandler and his buddies.

I thought it was okay. It was amusing in some parts. I'm not sure what some of you expected from this movie, but it was about what I expected going into it...a family-ish comedy with a little crude humor thrown in here and there for fans of Sandler and his crew. I wasn't expecting it to be great though, so maybe that's why I ended up thinking it was okay.

And don't get me wrong, I certainly wouldn't give it a high rating or anything like that. But I don't understand why people hated this movie SO much.

Why do people keep watching Adam Sandler movies? Besides maybe Happy Gilmore all his movies are terrible. Yea Billy Madison sucks too

This is the worst movie I've ever seen and I've never even watched it.

It had its moments although i thought the one liners were too predictable. I had seen them pee in the pool every trailer and to me that was one of the funniest parts. Whoever the young blonde was needs to do more movies though.

Right, anybody expecting humor other than peeing in pools or "I wanna get chocolate wasted" were out of their minds.

And this is my problem with it. its like putting a little bit of dog crap in my chocolate chip cookies. When I'm eating my cookies I don't want any dog crap in them. Kapish?

That was my main gripe with it-the comedy was too obvious. Maybe i just wasn't in the target market.

No problem.

So you expected a movie with Sandler, Spade, Rock, Schneider, and James in it not to have some crude humor?

Agreed. What surprised me most wasn't how terribly unfunny it was, but the major lack of any kind of story line.5 childhood friends spend a weekend away with their kids and play a pick up game of basketball against childhood basketball rivals? What the frick....

I too agree with this. The only other one that may get a remote pass from me would be Big Daddy. He hasn't been funny in over a decade and plays the same character in every film. Also in my personal opinion he has starred in the creepiest movie of all time "50 First Dates". It is just such a creepy movie.

I thought Steve Buscemi was funny. His comments when he was in the body cast made me laugh.

and for those saying Little Nicky and Billy Madison aren't funny need to get a sense of humor.

The only thing I enjoyed about Little Nicky was Rodney Dangerfield as Satan.

I like Monty Python and the Marx Brothers and I think 40 Year Old Virgin is the best comedy ever made. My sense of humor is pretty strong IMO.

What I don't get is why they make movies mostly geared towards kids but then they have to throw in a few vulgar scenes to appeal to immature adults and it just doesn't work as a comedy. you have to choose what you want to be and do it well. You can't serve two masters.
I agree with this. Problem is, the studios need to appeal to both audiences.

It can work, but its got to be very subtle to where either its going to go completely over the kid's heads or they'll think it has to do with something else. A good example is when Donkey and Shrek are making fun of the villain's dick size, but kid's will obviously think they are referring to his physical size rather than having a small penis.
