Gremlins is awesome but damn gremlins 2 was pretty funny. Totally different tone obviously but I tend to watch gremlins 2 more. It's just so over the top.

Gremlins 1 and 2 are like Evil Dead 1 and 2. The first one is horror and the second one is slapstick comedy horror.

I introduced my 6 year old to Gremlins a few weeks ago and he loved it.
I haven’t shown him G2 yet since it is pure trash. But I’m sure we’ll eventually get around to it. He’ll be psyched about 3 though.

Yeah, each time I watch it, I see something new that I haven’t noticed. So many things going on in the background with all the different looks/outfits of each gremlin

I remembered the scene but completely did not remember that she literally says “and that’s how I found out there’s no such thing as Santa Claus.” And I had a bit of an oh shite moment.
He was like “wait what did she say?” and I played it off like she meant that’s how she found out her dad had died. And he seemed to buy that just fine. But still, that shite caught me way off guard. But he rolled with it and never said anything else about it. And next time I’ll definitely mute/distract him from it at that part.
Also, I assume my downvotes are because people think Gremlins 2 is good? What the hell is wrong with y’all. Sure, it’s sort of fun. But that movie sucks bad.

There are tons of stories out there of families enjoying this movie only to have that come out of left field.
