I nominate Benedict Cumberbatch from the Desolation of Smaug.
If y'all haven't seen the making of that movie, I'd advise doing so. He put a lot into that role.

Whoever did the voice work for Wall-E. I realize it is computer generated for the most part, but that is what makes so good. They got a robot that could barely utter a phrase to portray a lot of emotion.

There's people like Mark Hamill who put forth an amazing cartoonish performance... but Tom Hanks as Woody is one of the best ever.
