HBO is developing another Game of Thrones spinoff series.

The company is actively heating up its long-in-discussion Aegon’s Conquest idea.

HBO is partnering with Mattson Tomlin, an in-demand scribe who did uncredited work on Matt Reeve’s The Batman and is co-writing its upcoming sequel, The Batman Part II. He also wrote the Keanu Reeves action comic adaptation BRZRKR and an animated Terminator series which he is also showrunning for Netflix.

Meh. Frick George and his made up conquests until he can finish the main story.

Exactly. Hard to spin off a story that isn’t complete.

That's never going to happen. Not while he's alive.

At best, he'll get some deathbed deal with some author or possibly an AI outfit to write an ending for him.

The original idea GRRM may have had for a proper ending is long gone. He's too mind fricked with wokeness to even try.

As long as it has good writing and casting, I’m in.

Eh. As annoyed as I am with GRRM's laziness, I still respect that he created a world that is bigger than one story. The world is so well developed that the story will never be "complete". We don't need to read the end of Jon and Dany and Tyrion's story to see Aegon's Conquest. Or even a story set 1000 years after Jon and Dany are dead. The world would just continue. There wasn't ever a logical conclusion to the ASOIAF story. Some shite was always bound to pop off right after.

GOT will be the new Walking Dead. 100 spinoffs trying to capitalize on the main story and all of them will suck

That's great. But his complete unwillingness to finish the one that brought these to the table in the first place is laughable and a massive turn off.

Plus I've just never been that interested in the Targaryens

Because you're naive and oblivious to what happens in the real world?

GoT was known for 2 things. Nudity and violence. OK, 3 things, if you count dragons.

What's happened since GoT first appeared on HBO 13 years ago? The #MeToo nonsense.

Also, GRRM was bit in the arse by woke nerds (these are the folks who LOVE him, right?) for butchering the pronunciation of one writer, Rebecca F Kuang. A sin of epic proportion.

HUGO award controversy

Virtual attendees noted that in his remarks, Martin seemed to dwell on praising white male writers of old, including some with a history of racism, rather than engaging with the nominees and their work. The Hugo Awards were first held in 1953, but it wasn't until 2016 that a Black person, acclaimed author N.K. Jemisin, won the prize for best novel. She also took home the prize in 2017 and 2018, making her the only writer ever to pull off a best novel hat trick. According to former Hugo nominee Natalie Luhrs, Martin mentioned this feat, but quickly pivoted to praising a white male author who also won the award three times in a nine-year span.

Accused of collaborating with non-inclusive (racist) authors.

Bottom line is that when he wrote these books so many years ago, sex and violence towards women were common place. Far more so in the source material than even made it to the small screen. But because he's taken so damn long to finish the story, Hollywood has changed drastically.

Yes, it falls back to THIS because THIS is what Hollywood has become.

At first I’m annoyed at yet another distraction for GRRM, but then I thought how cool it will be to see Aegon melt Harrenhal with the Black Dread. I’m in.

Yep. If people would’ve Pokémon gone to the polls all of the books would be written

The sooner you realize that he is never going to finish the story, the easier it is to move on. Winds of Winter isn't even the last book in the series. It's been 13 years since A Dance with Dragons, and it had been 6 years between that book and A Feast for Crows. And 5 years between Crows and and A Storm of Swords. A Game of Thrones ended 5 YEARS AGO. He hasn't even mentioned the book on his blog in almost a year. The man is obese and 75 years old. It's not gonna happen.

How does this remotely address what I posted? Show me where I "hate" movies and TV shows.

* I do hate woke garbage, so maybe you have it half right.

I stated that GRRM isn't going to finish Winds of Winter.

Where's the book?

Point to what you disagree with what I posted.

And explain why.

Fine. GRRM is no Tolkien, so what the hell do I care anyways?
