Pretty sure the script Gilly read from said the maester did it in secret.
why was it that Gilly was the one to read about this and then was cut-off by Sam? Is this telling us it's not something that's going to be a priority message to get to Jon until later? Like next season, later? I just don't know why that wasn't a discovery by Sam...it's the cornerstone of this story.
Also, has it been discussed why Cersei getting preggo was significant at this point? Keeps Jamie from killing her?

I lol'd when Gendry called Jon a short frick.
"So, you're here to get me?"
"Well, I just . . . ."
"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go."

Agreed. I want to finally see the WW in more action.

We worked the Longclaw/ Dark Sister theory over in the Crackpot thread way back...but it is the ONLY VS bastard sword mentioned in the books...other than, of course, Blackfyre.
Kinda squashes Dark Sister's candidacy.
And like I said, bear? Wolf?
...or fricking dragon?

quote:Not true. When Jorah is saying goodbye next to the boats, and grabs Dany's hands, he looks over at Jon and acknowledges JOn as being her guy. He then just kisses her hands and walks off as Jon approaches.
I do not like the show having Jorah come back right now and interfering with Jon and Dany. Overall a good episode, but def my least favorite ep of the season.
The only one shrugging Dany off is Jon.
"You won't have to worry about the King in the North"
"I've become quite used to him"
"Yeah, I've gotta go. Kbye."

She says she can win the war like her father did when she says she's considered meeting Danerys.
this whole arc is retarded...like anyone would ever trust Cersei, even if they had no other options.

It's a bear-wolf-dragon, close kin to the famous man-bear-pig.

Yeah Cersei would get the same options as the Tarly's . Bend the knee or die

A maester doesn't grant annulment, a Septin qould have to
How do you know any of this shite? Is there a supplementary book on Westerosi law that I haven't read?
It was annulled. It's a fictional fantasy story. Deal with it.
Its just discussing what happened and in fictional fantasy stories the only real rule is that you don't break the rules of the world which you (the writer) define within the story. It is the real driving engine of the genre as if you can just do whatever you want whenever you want to make it work the whole thing starts to break down.
I know it is a show with dragons and zombies, but it still has to follow common sense and some form of guidelines / rules or else it would be just another bullshite epic fantasy series and not have the following that it does now.

And to a lesser extent, a far removed cousin of the puppymonkeybaby.

I'd have to watch the scene again, but I wonder if her having it is how it ends up getting included with the books and scrolls he takes (you know it has to be). He was pissed because he was doing busy work, so he probably didn't take all of the stuff in front of him with him.

It seemed like early on any man who died north of the wall woke up as a wight. That is why they burn the dead. There were no walkers around when the first wight showed up.
Take a criminal north of the wall, hang him, put him in a cage and wait for him to get back up.
There were definitely White Walkers there. Those guys were with Benjen Stark, who said he was killed by one of them.

Why isn't beric considered azor ahai with the flamin sword?

In addition to being nephew and aunt, they are also cousins. As Danys parents were brother and sister, making her father/mother uncle & aunt as well. So Rhaegar is her cousin/brother, and Rhaegars children would be her cousin/niece or nephew.
It's a good thing there are Bama fans around to explain to us how these things work.
Droppie post of the year nominee.

I'm liking the blackfyre theory. But does it have any significance other than being a cool coincidence?

Just because someone has a flaming sword doesn't make him Azor Ahai.
Posted on 8/14/17 at 10:25 am to Cow Drogo
Because Beric's sword isn't the real Lightbringer. He puts wildfire on a normal sword and lights it. That sword is ruined afterwards.

But seriously I'm not even from the south. Plus I just copy pasted this from someone on Reddit.
