Is this your first episode of GOT?

No, but she's gonna be hard pressed to get loyal people with the way she presented herself there.

He is just joking with you.
She has been this way for awhile now. I am pretty over it. My least favorite character in the show outside of the sand snakes.

Her response to Jon was pretty much as it should have been: the only man in Westeros styling himself as King...that should've pissed her off immediately.

I am just about pulling my hair out over Dany/Tyrion's siege plans.

They had an overwhelming force, plus 3 fullsized dragons, correct? victory at King's Landing was a foregone conclusion. But, they passed on that because too many people who dislike them will die, or something.

So, they divide their overwhelmingly large force into small vulnerable forces and send them in different directions with uncertain outcomes. And, the three dragons just fly around doing nothing.

Now, they have a much smaller army, disbursed and/or trapped away from KL, and no navy. These maneuvers were impossibly stupid, and there had to be a better way to delay the ultimate victory at KL.

They got that big fancy war board, but no one who know how to play it.

Now, I can't wait for the Arya/Stark reunion. There might be some onion chopping for that one.

I was pretty excited to see Bran and Sansa reunite, but that was pretty much all shot to hell when they saw each other and Bran was all creepy from the get-go. I know he's the three-eyed raven, but becoming a completely soulless twat was a bit much.

Well, let's look at it from Dany's perspective: Took her years to get to Westeros, with a plan to take King's Landing, and her first potential ally says "send your army north to fight some snow zombies".

I think she had to say no; there was not really any chance of her sending resources north. From a strategic standpoint, Dany has hundreds of miles, a northern army, and a giant wall standing between her and some unseen threat. She has to focus on the south. For now.

Hmm, I assumed we would see them one last time when Bronn swoops in to save Tyene. Guess that's not happening

Yeah, I'm sure Bronn, and many us male viewers, were hoping to get to see Tyene's perfect pair one more time.

Well yeah, with the books you literally have two separate books happening at the same time.

The HBO budget only allows for dragon/ dragon riders 1 ep/ season...couldn't blow their wad on the first volley.

Frigging sad that this is true.

exactly, but people are bitching about it not taking 3 episodes to sail from Dragonstone to Casterly Rock

Eh. The large battles are way more. That's why you only get 1 per season of those. The direwolves/dragons have been regulars just without a ton of screen time, which is understandable. It's been a character driven show. That's who you want on screen.

Who rules the Stormlands right now?

Wonder if Dany finds Gendry, legitimizes him and names him ruler of the Stormlands to gain more supporters

Tywin is still helping out Cersci if ya think about it. Separating Ser Barristan and Jorah away from Dany was a great chess move a few seasons ago. Paying real dividends now.

The real reason that is an issue is because of Euron's fleet, specifically his multi-masted flag ship, seemingly being everywhere at once to destroy Dany's navy.

That's cool and all but what is hapoening in the weeks when these people are travelling?

What is Dany and crew doing between when Jon gets the raven and arrives? Hanging out?

People notice it and that's fine. I sure do. I mean... Euron when from Kings landing to somewhere between dragonstone (without being seen!) and dorn back to kings landing (where he got a welcome party) then all the way around to casterly rock right when the unsullied got there to attack.

I think the issues on Dragons/Wolves is probably timeline as much as budget. You have to shoot the scene then do all the CGI for them while you are trying to get the season ready to go out.

That's a fair point. I don't think people understand what needs to take place to release 10 hours of film in a year. Most movies with this type of production take almost 2 full years and they're only 2 hours long.

His plan was actually a pretty damn good plan. How was he supposed to know that Euron would surprise attack his fleet? Hell, he didn't even know who Euron was before Varys came in and told Dany about what happened with Yara and Theon.

With a little reflection, Tyrion's plan is shown to have really sucked. He sent Dany's best and most reliable force, the Unsullied, way off to a peripheral target.

Mass times velocity equals impact. Ser Jorah will fix all that for Dany.
