I think it would be lame if the Night's King needs to be nearby in order for the dead to rise. They will never make it South of the Trident if this were to happen, and I'd want all of Westeros to feel it.
Here's what would awesome: as soon as the Others break the Wall, Tyrion is in the South at Casterly Rock enjoying his victory. Suddenly all the dead from the battle rise around the Rock and lay siege to it.

I'm thinking the Hound survives. He has to kill his brother. Which leads me to my second part of my previous post for when the Wall comes down: Cersei should hold court addressing the loss of Casterly Rock, and all of the sudden the Mountain's eyes glow blue, he slays half the court and runs North.

Nothing better than OML fan fiction.

GoT and today's weather have inspired me to come up with a new phrase (new as far as I know):
It's hotter than a red witch's titty.

Last week when the heat index was 100-107 was hotter than a red witch's titty.
The heat, especially the past two weeks, has made me wish it was December already (even though last winter was as mild as Greyworm and Missandei having sex).

I think it's more feasible than it seems on the surface. As far as they are concerned, Jon Snow was a treacherous Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who used it let the Wildlings South of the Wall for his own personal army. From their point of view Jon is a Oathbreaker with an army of rapists.
As soon as they secured Sansa, I don't think it's all that unfeasible that they'd willingly turn the sword on them, possibly sparing the Mormonts men.
You have to remember they are still (at least officially) acting on the orders of Robin Arryn. No way they completely deviate and betray the Starks and deprive Sansa of the chance to take back her home. It would be extremely obvious and would result in Baelish going through the moon door, if Ghost doesn't eat him first.

The kid that asks people to fly on a whim? If that was any obstacle, all LF needed to do is whisper in his ear he was a bad man that wanted to take Sansa away from him, and that he's obligated to have Jon Snow killed for abandoning his vows and destroy the raping Wildlings.

In my scenario, Sansa is the Queen in the North. They would take back her home for her and clear out the Boltons and Wildlings in her name.

He would have to convince the Knights of the Vale on the battlefield first. And convince Sansa to keep her mouth shut about murdering possibly her only remaining family member.

Oh okay I get what you're saying. But I really don't see the knights of the Vale going along with that.

I sort of love the idea of Littlefinger being a mastermind and maneuvering his way to the top, only to be brought down by something he can't predict or control (to the point where it's almost anticlimactic).
Like him successfully manipulating Sansa to take control of Winterfell, looking like he's about to become the real power in the North, only to have the Hound show up and be like, "Why's he here? Don't you know he got your dad killed."

I agree. It wouldn't make sense for the Knights of the Vale to travel all the way north and destroy 2 major houses. Sansa had been working hand in glove with Jon and his allies the whole time. Having a foreign host destroy them and install her with the backing of a foreign and non northern army wouldn't exactly go over well. And the north remembers.

Questions- does the Night's King's mojo work on the Mountain, since he's only sorta dead?
I think someone else touched on Littlefinger's death- he's going to be somewhere North enjoying as his schemes are unfolding (disrupting Jon and Sansa's relationship), and either a wight or a White Walker shows up. I speculate on the White Walker, because I could see him lamely trying to negotiate a deal just before he's skewered.
They're truly beyond his reasoning, he's never met anyone he couldn't deal with in some way.

That's how I think he goes down in the books. He makes it to Winterfell with Sansa, she a basic hostage Queen in the North, only for the Wall to come down and for it to be all for nothing.

I think it will be more through Sansa's own cunning that she finds out what LF has done. Really, Sansa already has all the information that LF doomed her family and lured her father down to King's Landing to his death. The information though was coming from a total crazy person where Sansa was only focused on LF telling Lysa what she wanted to hear.
If LF both in the show and books does something paricullarly brutal, and Sansa is horrified by it, I think the words "soft heart" may part LF's lips much like "Tears" did. It will be the words that bring everything together for Sansa on what LF has done.

My point is that Sansa would become Queen in the North with LF as her Hand and really handler. I think it would be a total hostage crisis with LF over Sansa revealing him for the monster he actually is.

LF gets offed by a Stark. It's the only acceptable end to his arc.

Not trying to shite on your theory, but thats scenario just doesn't appeal to me for several reasons.
Sansa's show storyline has already seen her used as a sort of figurehead or "trophty" queen - to Ramsey.
Littlefinger is not a battlefield commander and I don't think he was with the attacking Knights. He would have to have tried to set up his slaughter of Jon's forces ahead of time which I think would have been very tricky and leave him open to being discovered.
I doubt the Vale Knights would have wanted to stay at Winterfell just to prop Sansa up. (I'm not even sure they will want to stay to fight the Night's King)
They really really need to start moving away from the human politics storylines and towards the war for the dawn storyline. (Though sometimes I think we're all just as guilty of being unable to move on).

I've become a bit disillusioned with Sansa lately, but I think some of it is from Sophie trying to troll too much in the off season about "Jon and Sansa hate each other and will have a war!!" in every interview that she did. Sometimes I can't figure out if D&D keep on egging on Sophie (and a few of the other actors) to say dumb shite to distract the fans from what will actually happen.
