The whole "winter is coming" thing is kinda bullshite now right? I mean thousands of people predict the end of the world everyday, eventually somebody is gonna get it right.
i'm probably gonna get blasted for this but am I the only one who doesn't give 2 shits about the white walker story line and all this winter nonsense? i'm much more intrigued and interested in the quest for the iron throne.

Yeah I don't care about it right now either. I'm sure that will change once it actually starts to develop though.

I'm intrigued by the white walkers. What I am most interested in is Dany crossing the sea to Westeros and what is gonna happen to Sansa and Margary.

You seem focused on all the sexy ladies. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's how I feel, mostly looking forward to what happens with Arya, Bran, & Jamie

Seems like we could be seeing a classic "I have your family. Do as I say or they die." Kinda deal.

I don't think they would need that kind of leverage at all. She seemed like a woman scorned getting revenge, threat to her own life was probably all she needed to cooperate. Earlier in the show they did seem to imply that her parents weren't just random peasants though. Maybe she's supposed to be dead, like the daughter of Oberyn's sister that the Mountain killed?

Princess Rhaenys was stabbed over 50 times by Amory Lorch. Ser Armory Lorch was in season 2 played by

He was in charge at Harrenhal, when the northern army took the castle. He was feed to the bear that they later tried to feed Briene. Tywin had a plan to blame him for all the murders by it was too late for that. So the Mountain was blamed for all of the killings.

So what other potentials do we have for Shae? They seemed to have intentionally made her lineage mysterious to pique our interest. Either she has noble parents that were killed or infamous and it's safer/easier for her to remain unknown, or she's a bastard (what's the word for female bastard?).

she's a foreigner (from Essos) evrything is different there.

They don't have Lords and Lord Paramounts like Westeros.

Considering that the name of the book series is "A Song of Ice and Fire", I would think the white walker storyline is one we should all be paying attention.

The thing to understand about this world is that the seasons are strange, lasting years at times. Currently, it's been at least a generation since winter has come (ie: extending beyond the Wall to any real degree). With that, the phrase not only means the actual seasonal change is coming, but hardship is coming in its wake (imagine the effect on crops, livestock, water, etc of a winter that lasts two full years, for example).

From the very first scene of the very first episode (the Watch discovering the mutilated Wildlings), I've taken the phrase to mean something more than just the seasonal change. Once the first white walker appeared, creatures that had been widely believed to be just legends, I incorporated them into that phrase. So I think of them as the personification of the phrase and all meanings tied to it.

Correct. No Dorne = no lemoncakes. Or maybe no reasonably priced lemoncakes.

Yeah their version of Earth's seasons are a little different.

Is the big red and black dragon called Drogon or Dracarys? Or is dracarys like "burn him!" in Valyrian? Cuz if it the burn him command is it kinda becomes "dragon him." Which...is hilarious.

Drogon is the dragon's name, and "Dracarys" means to light them on fire.
