I think Larys plays a pretty good sycophant- like a more weasly, less ambitious littlefinger

This isn't book spoilers but just to clarify this really isn't the case with a dragon. There is a bond made obviously but nowhere in the lore does it say that a dragon can go months without eating or drinking, or breathing for that matter, and live. It's still needs to fall in the bounds of the reality of the world it exists in. Him showing up when Aegon is in need isn't a stretch but the fact that he was able to show up is the ridiculous part.
My response was about him showing up. I do agree it seems silly he could survive so long without food.

Your list has a shocking lack of Tyland Lannister, the real hero of the story.

Also seems unlikely they would behead the other dragon to parade around but not the king’s dragon.
The Greens paraded around an enemy dragon. They’re not going to parade around one of their own dead dragons.

Oh right, silly mistake on my part.

Not really needing spoilers per se, but for book readers how much longer does this story have? Have done really good avoiding spoilers but about to give in and read some. It's going to be hard to force myself to watch again in 2 years.

There is a good bit left, including key battles. We've only had a couple of key battles so far. Rook's and the Gullett. All I'm saying.

Think I'm going to have to give in to spoilers after the finale here. Can't wait 4+ more years for resolution.

Ever heard of hibernation/brumation?

I think there’s only one season after this, so probably just two years.

Oh summer child. It’ll be 4 years before the next garbage season probably

The show didn't cover the first 300 or so pages of the book.
Season four is the last season and should end with a war. The book continues for roughly another 250 or so pages. So the show covers about 1/3 of the book. I could be off a little bit there but as far as time goes it's covering 30 years of a 150 year history book. That's including the 28 year time jump it made.
