Am I the only one who thinks this show is overrated. Sure some of the scenes are cool but the plot and some of the decisions the characters make don’t make sense to me.

Agreed. The writers did such a terrible job on that. Which of the three dragons leave together at the end? One of the three is presumably adverse to the other two. What gives?

Caraxes is attacking Silverwing and Vermithor is in pursuit. Ulf is on Silverwing who is mate to Vermithor which means Caraxes is in serious peril and Deamon’s just going home with Corlys? And let’s just ignore that Ulf is a traitor riding a dragon? It’s beyond belief how stupid this show is.

They missed a huge opportunity to have a mob attack rhaneyra outside the Sept too. They built up tension and then the scene just ended and when they came back to her she was at the keep already

As someone else mentioned, Vermithor was mated to Silverwing, so Caraxes may be in trouble.

But I remember in the OG GOT threads on here when Daenerys attacked the Lannisters on the gold road in S7, it was compared to the “field of fire”. Was the “field of fire” what we just saw or is that still coming later?

They haven’t finished a battle since Rooks Rest and I’m guessing not doing anything right is now just their brand. Like you said, Hugh leaving his post, the insufferable Worm just walking free from the guards and the murder in the Sept sets it all up but this show is so inept they can’t even figure out how to construct an episode. All that wasted time in 6-7 but they can’t fit the story into the finale. Like I said a few weeks ago this is GOT S8 level dogshit.

And this stupid fricking plot point where Queen dummy keeps commanding Daemon to restrain so she can save face while she constantly tells the people to go frick themselves and even murders the High Septon is such contrived nonsense. The show is openly Nerfing Daemon in the dialogue. Its Rings of Power level writing. Oh yea and Alys is now Black Harren’s wife? frick you show.

I now understand so fully why they had to start so many years early in the story when Raenera and Alicent were girls and then time jump. They needed us to see Raenera when she was younger and innocent to create some semblance of a sympathetic foundation in order for any of us to pull for her as she’s turned into such a whiny idiotic psychopath.
I’d defended her, atleast to some point, for a while, but good god she’s now awful. Every decision she makes is either hypocritical / inconsistent or idiotic. Why the f did she feel the need to just shishkabob the head priest?!? Were they trying to connect that the 7 is behind some of the small folk graffiti and restlessness? I guess it could sorta make sense as the church does seem to get political in this show, but we don’t ever see that. If that’s not the case, then she just randomly felt the need to murder this dude?
And why does she think she’s on like a presidential campaign? These speeches she’s giving are ridiculous and almost hysterical. Are they trying to show her losing it? Can you imagine all of the small folk being like wtf is she talkin about during that awful speech? Telling them about the prince that is promised when no one even know what she’s talking about. Awful.
Y’all also touched on the dragons part at the end, but it’s insane they just leave the season with those three all fighting each other. The third one is the new dragon rider’s dragon whose wife got killed in the battle? And how the fvcking fvck does Raenera not know that that guy is so clearly going to leave his scouting post or whatever at Kings Landing knowing that his wife is in the damn city they are about to sack?!?
The season really went off the rails and got pretty terrible in the end. I think the final season is gonna be brutal and hard to watch. Everyone clearly dies, we basically know that from where GOT starts. Feel it’s gonna be an entire season of tons of folks getting barbequed by clueless idiotic leaders.

Tough crowd but I loved the finale and this season. Much better than 2 ImO

I didn't know they were mated. So they won't attack each other even if their riders command it? I would think Daemon would know this and wait until he has help.

I liked the episode. Great job with the battle scene. I like that no one got what they wanted out of Tumbleton.
It’s satisfying to see Rhaenyra go off the deep end.
Will miss Heleana, though. I liked Phia Saban’s take on her. Captured her oddness very well.

I honestly wish they had done some more with her. But she was well cast.
Also thought they had the perfect casting for Roddy the Ruin. Was glad to see Tommy Flanagan in that role this season.
