How in the frick are they going to wrap this up with one season left?
We still have to get Battle of the Gods Eye, Hugh turning to Aegon at some point, the death of all of dragons in the dragon pit, Aegon capturing and feeding Rhaenyra to Sunfyre and several other things.
If they truly want to do it justice, then every single episode needs to be an hour and a half long and completely packed to the brim. Even then that’s pushing it.
There is going to be A LOT of squealing when Aegon wins in the end, especially if they show what he does to Rhaenyra in the book.

Aegon II is a massive piece of shite, sure. But he’s not a bastard that isn’t having bastard children being named heir.

Bunch of complaining up in here. That was a great episode. A few things moved too quick but we were spoiled by the originals slow pace.

Have a feeling the final season will be broken up into three arcs taking place over three episodes.
First arc will be Hugh’s betrayal and culminate in the Battle Above the Gods Eye.
Second will be Aegon taking Dragonstone and culminate in the storming of the dragonpit and Rhaenyra’s capture.
Third and final 3 episode arc will be Second Battle of Tumbleton, Rhaenyra’s death, Aegon retaking the throne and culminate with the Hour of the Wolf. Might be risky to get rid of Aemond and Daemon so close to the beginning of the season but they’re written themselves into a corner by delaying so many of the major major events until the last season
Maybe they can rework the timeline and swap the second battle of tumbleton with the Gods Eye battle to keep Daemon and Aemond around longer but their stories are running thin. It’s time they gave us one of the best duels in the history of Westeros

I wouldn’t be surprised if they cut out the second battle (as well as Dragonstone) and just have it all come together at Harrenhal/God’s Eye.

Did Rhaenyra actually do anything this episode besides having her man kill the High Septon? She gussied up in her armor but did she ever actually go to battle?

Not at all. The book set them up perfectly for 4 seasons, but the writers can’t stop screwing it up.

There’s no way the show ends without them bringing back Cregan Stark
They’ll give us the Hour of the Wolf for sure. Penultimate episode will be Rhaenyra’s death, Aegon ascending the throne again just for the episode to end with someone bringing news that the Starks have crossed into the crownlands.

I have a feeling this will end just as poorly as Game of Thrones did. At least those writers had an excuse, the story has not yet been told. The Dance of the Dragons story is right there for them to use.

I didn't. The show has an annoying, lighthearted feel to it that does not work at all. A typical example is when Roddy tells his men that they were still alive and they all reacted with comic sad grunts. It's just fricking stupid.

I've been giving this show the benefit of the doubt, despite a lot of filler this season, but last night's finale pissed me off.
Allyn - completely out of character for him to kill the high septon
Daemon - wasn't at Tumbleton in the book
Ormund/Roddy - this was comical and silly, not how a fight of that magnitude should have gone.
Hugh - Not turning during first tumbleton - I guess they can save this by having him turn because of his wife, but it's just annoying.
Rhaenyra - why fire Mysaria after how we ended last episode? That was absolutley out of left field. I guess that was their "proof" that she was going full Daemon but it was just out of left field.
Aegon - so he's going to team up with Aemond? wtf? Book Aemond would have killed him then and there.
This season had way too much filler to do the rest of the story justice in only 8 more episodes.

You think this is a possibility after watching the three seasons we have so far?
I didn't hate the finale but there is no such thing as "full throttle" with this show.
It's clear the gameplan of the show runners is two action episodes a season and the rest is bad filler. The lack of action wouldn't be so bad if the dialogue and writing were better. These writers just make for a lot of painful episodes.

If I made Tik Toks, I could go viral making fun of her acting. The sticking her neck out like a clucking chicken and the weird lip movements in every single scene is so bad.
At this point I'm not able to give the show too many compliments but will say they have done a better job of making Rhaenyra gradually more unlikable/crazy than GoT did with Dany. I'm assuming that's their point.
