When did they talk about his Uncle? I don't seem to recall that. What's the story here?
When they were still at the wall his uncle went off into the north. Snow and his fat friend were up there and saw the horse come back without a rider. It was his uncle's horse.

He also reminds us that Ned stark wasn't the purest of men either even though everyone love him
I'm thinking that Jon Snow is actually Lyanna Stark's and Rhaeghar Targaryen's son, not Ned's bastard. It really doesn't make sense for Ned to cheat on his wife as hung up as he is about honor.

That's my thinking as well OML.
ETA: I thought this the first time that Ned said not to kill Dany. He was saying how monstrous Tywin was for killing the young Targaryans and I think he hid Jon from Robert since he was his last real connection to his sister and he knew Robert would kill him.

Regardless of how monstrous they are, Cersei still loves her children. I'm going with Tyrion or Sansa killing him. One of these characters will reach a breaking point with him eventually and snap and kill him.

All this speculation has me wanting to read the books. I'm tired of not knowing what's going to happen.

Doubt it. Arya seems to go for people she despises or are direct threat to her. I don't think she hates Tywin as an individual, since it seems like Tywin seems to look at her as ideal daughter material and treats her well. She's going to save it for someone she despises.
Well, I think Arya wants a Stark to kill Cersei, Joffrey, Ser Illyn, and Tywin not have someone else do it.

you're not the only one with that speculation

Well, it makes a ton of sense.
I think that is a good reason why Ned never told anyone who Jon's mother was.

:mindblown:
That would make things all the more interesting.

I don't think Tyrion wants the blood on his hand. It would be to much of a power grab.
Sensa can't really argue but I just think its too obvious.
Cersisi loves her kids to much but jeoffery is going to go to far and she is going to have too.

i agree, Ned is a man of honor and there is a TON of that mentioned throughout the show and books

If I had to bet on a character killing Joffrey it would be The Hound.

Ok, somebody give me a primer on these folks.
lyanna stark is ned's sister, the woman robert loved. the woman cersei hated b/c robert loved lyanna (and once said her name while fricking)
rhaeghar targaryan (not baratheon) stole lyanna, which led to the revolution that ned and robert led to overthrow the targaryans. in the information DVDs for season 1 there are hints that she went with rhaegar voluntarily
there are rumors jon snow (see: black hair) is their love child and ned hid it from robert
note, i have read 0 words of any book. this is from season 1 and content associated with the HBO series

interesting that they had that in the DVD extras. There hasn't been many clues in the show about that theory so far for some reason. Now w/ Ned dead, not sure how they're gonna fit it in.

Lyanna Stark and Rhaeghar Baratheon
Ok, somebody give me a primer on these folks.
"Lyanna Stark is an unseen character in Game of Thrones. She is deceased when the events of the series begin. Lyanna Stark is the younger sister of major character Eddard Stark. Her kidnap by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen contributed to the outbreak of Robert's Rebellion. She died during the conflict." LINK
I don't find a Rhaeghar Baratheon. Mostly likely you mean: Rhaegar Targaryen
Rhaegar Targaryen by M.Luisa Giliberti©
Alias Silver Prince
The Last Dragon
Title Prince of Dragonstone
Knight
Allegiance House Targaryen
Culture Valyrian
Born In 259AL, at Summerhall
Died In 283AL, at Trident
Spouse Elia Martell
Book(s) A Game of Thrones
A Clash of Kings
A Storm of Swords
A Feast for Crows
Marriage to princess Elia Martell of Dorne
Prince Rhaegar Targaryen was the eldest son of Aerys II and, as heir-apparent, Prince of Dragonstone. Rhaegar was popular with the smallfolk during his life, but died in Robert's Rebellion, which was triggered in part by his alleged abduction of Lyanna Stark. Rhaegar is remembered as a heroic figure to Targaryen loyalists.[1] LINK

Agree! Esp with yall talking about all foreshadowing they like to do. The Hound told Sansa something like, "you'll like me more when I'm that stands between you and your king"

It is an internet theory, not in the books.

something like that
i found out about the rumors b/c i talked to somebody once about how black john snow's hair is, and how he's gotta be robert's kid. that was his guess
