His argument (that he did not make in his OP but moved the goal posts to later) is that Gladiator II's arena isn't the colesium and based on the strcuture as shown in the movie, could not be flooded.

I have stated probably 5 times in this thread now that I know the colosseum was flooded. I am not trying to argue that. I am simply stating how dumb the scene is.

I have not moved the goal posts at all. I rad about the actual "flooding" while I was making my original post. Knowing what Titus actually did did not change my opinion of the scene at all. I have not edited my original post and my very first reply in the thread was clarifying it.

There are definitely worse movies. I was just having a hard time thinking of worse movies I've seen in recent memory. After thinking about it a little more, Last Goal Wins by Waititi was definitely a more regretful watch.

Agree with the negative reviews. I watched it on a plane because I figured it couldn’t be that bad with the RT scores and how much money it made.
It was really bad CGI and just wasn’t a good story. I didn’t care at all about the characters like you do in the first one and the whole thing felt like a money grab. Was really disappointed and still wondering how it did so well at the box office.

I am a firm believer that Denzel Washington is a top 5 actor all time. I’ve always said I would go see any movie he was in and I didn’t even need to know what it was about beforehand. I think this is his first film I have absolutely no interest in seeing.

I do not get all of the hate about the sharks. It is well known that the Romans would catch the sharks and have them swim back to the Coliseum using the aqueducts.
