I still cannot picture Nalie Dormer as sweet little Margaery Tyrell.
I imagine Margaery to be hotter in my mind.
Looks like they are doing a good job making Brienne ugly though.

Just finished a clash of kings. I'm very excited for the show to start!

I didn't picture the Halfhand like the man they have playing him.
Me either I pictured him bigger and brawnier. Though I don't really remember how they described him in the book to be honest.
I'm anxious to see what rattleshirt and Mance look like

Looked it up out of curiosity (I couldn't remember either). He was described as tall and clean-shaven with gray eyes. Also said he wears his gray hair in a long braid and is missing most of the fingers on his right hand (for the obvious Halfhand name).
Not exactly what I pictured after reading that description.

Well then it looks like they did just fine with his casting then

I'm anxious to see how she portrays her though. She pretty well nailed Anne Boleyn in The Tudors.
And I don't get the not-hot-enough comments. I thought she was pretty gorgeous in The Tudors before she went batshit crazy.

Shes supposed to be the prettiest girl in the seven kingdoms but Sansa,a Whore and Dany all rank above her imo.
Doesn't really bother me though

I think the issue you run into is finding someone who is hot enough but can play that character. Particularly the duality you get into with her character (and to avoid spoilers I'll leave it at that).

I agree and thats why it doesn't bother me. Its great when you can find an actor/actress who can play the part and also looks the part but if not I'll give some leeway in looks for the sake of good acting.
Also you've got to look at it this way. She is a member of the second most powerful family in the Seven Kingdoms. That has to boost her reputation a good bit in the books. Kinda like, say Taylor Swift whose not the hot but based on her talent and money she gets labeled as this uber hot sex icon.

I think for all the people who didn't read the books before the shows know exactly how you feel. You just can't get enough.

Also, keep in mind that when it says in the books that some chick is super fricking hot, it isn't necessarily the prevailing viewpoint of everyone in the realm. Wouldn't it really just be the opinion of the person whose pov that chapter is? At least that's how I've always thought of it.

Agreed.
Arya and Sansa's differing opinions of Joffrey for instance

Way to be an arse just for the sake of being an arse. Fake spoilers are gay.

I'm surprised we made it this far without one.
But thanks for the bump troll.

Well sort of some spoilers naming characters people don't know yet.

Like?
I don't see anyone going into significant detail about characters in the upcoming season that I listed in the OP.
