Yeah, Dillane is a good actor, I have no doubt he'll do a good job as Stannis, the look will just throw me till I see him in a few episodes.

Joffrey is my male version of Betty Draper (most hated female character on TV for me right now). Cute kid from Batman Begins to most hated character on TV for me.

So I was wondering why they would recast Gregor Clegane with some dude that doesn't look as much like a mountain. Apparently Conan Stevens has a role in The Hobbit as an orc or goblin commander so yeah...

I think with a suit they'll fill him out, but he may fit the height of The Mountain better than the previous actor.

I'm still trying to figure out who that is with Margary with a crown with definite stag elements (so should be Barentheon) and a beard (can't be Joffrey with a beard can it?). Heck maybe it's been too long since I've read the books and forgotten a character.
ETA - never mind I ran a wiki on it and it was something I'd forgotten. Still, doesn't look like that character from S! to me at least.

Maybe so. Don't want to go into details of the character and what seems different about him to me. Perhaps it's just that he was shown mostly inside in S1 and this one has him outside and windblown, etc.

eh, not really.
Conan Stevens is 7' 1/4".
Ian Whyte is 7'1".
Hopefully they can pull it off. I thought the Mountain looked great in S1.

Coster-Waldea no doubt gained a lot of attention from S1. If they'd tried to keep him offscreen for most of S2 they would've almost certainly lost him, and he is simply perfect as the Kingslayer.

This. Wish they could have gotten him back because he was perfect. But the Mountain really doesn't appear that often in the books until Storm. The casting for this show had to have been tough. Every knight of prominence is like 6'6" and built like a world's strongest man contestant. They still are hitting a few characters perfectly though. I didn't picture the Halfhand like the man they have playing him. Davos is close for me. Brienne is perfect.
