The Night King dropping the dragon out of the sky with a icicle might be the dumbest thing the show ever did. All the creative ways they could have killed the dragon and they opt for making the Night King a super villain.

Which is a shame, and a huge change from the earlier seasons.
Hell, Tyrion gets knocked out and you don’t even see a battle. And it works.
They (appeared) to understand that human drama made the show. It wasn’t spectacle.
Maybe they realized the script was shite - and spectacle was all they had to offer.

Maybe the Iron Bank repossesses Kings Landing because Cersei didn't pay her debt on time or is considered a bad risk, leaving her very vulnerable to Dany and Co.

I wish the series followed the books on this regard. Cersai stiffed the Iron Bank, Bank cuts off all credit and calls in all loans. She causes the economic collapse of westeros.
