It was poorly written and shot. Not a dealbreaker but disappointing considering the multitude of other ways they could’ve handled it. JMO of course

Maybe Bran was just warging Drogon the entire time to make Dany look crazy

a I did too when Tyrion thanked Jamie for being the only one of his immediate Lannister family to not treat him like a monster, that was powerful TV drama imho. Cersei and Tywin hated Tyrion and blamed him for their mothers death. Even that piece of dung Lancel Lannister and Uncle Kevin treated Tyrion with contempt. I glad Tyrion and Jamie got to say goodbye.

It really pisses me off that they had Jamie mentioned Tyrion first wife at the party in winter fell but didn’t tell him she wasn’t a plant for Tyrion to lose his virginity and he really did marry her.

Yea there pretty much has to be more to Bran than what we are shown so far. There is something else going on behind the scenes.

The last piece of the puzzle [theory] GRRM has definitely not been one to shy away from shock value and DnD has followed this tradition being fueled by the buzz and success of the previously most unexpected scenes: Ned's head, Cate's fate and the Sept's intercept. Dany burning the civilians of King's Landing to a crisp is not the shock of the season/ending.

First of all, it's expected - this entire season has lead to this moment. As the bells were ringing and she could have 'won' peacefully it still remained one and a half episode - clearly they keep setting the ending up for Jon to have to kill his love and mad queen who has gotten more and more paranoid over the last few episodes.

I have one question though - in this supposed rage/madness, why would they deny us to see her in her new role as the antagonist? She looks confused, upset, uncertain as the bells are chiming - cut to a wide shot of Drogon starting to frick shite up. If they really wanted to make her as mad as they've suggested they would have had us bask in it.

All of our favourite queen turning to paranoia and madness and all of our hearts breaking with it. No, this is not the ending twist. The last remaining puzzle piece of the series is Bran. We all agree that his powers are the focus of countless theories and would be the sole biggest disappointment if it turned out not to have meant anything at all. So here's the last shock/twist to end them all:

Bran wargs into Drogon and Dany is as shocked as the rest of the actions of her dragon. This is the only way I can see them tying it all together. The three eyed raven operates on a logic we just don't understand and have set this up for a greater purpose. Throw in purposely maddening the old king for good measure.

This reveal will be the last twist, and maybe it'll come even after Jon has killed Dany. Suddenly the Stark siblings will have to face their own brother and he's probably not gonna survive it. Whether or not he lives, if he wins or loses remain to be seen.

Eh, I don't think I agree with that. I'll have to go back and re-watch but I'm pretty sure they still did show Dani while she was massacring everyone. She was aware of what she was doing.

D&D mentioned after the episode they really wanted to shoot a lot of that from the perspective of the innocent civilians, to really give that extra bit of realism, instead of just following around your main characters and overhead shots.

Bran could have done something to Dani, but I don't think he was controlling the dragon and she was just taken for a ride.

what's crazy is as bad as season 7 writing was, it was still an exciting story line. They pretty much shite the entire thing in a few episodes. i'm so pissed i waited two years or whatever for this

Ok. I finally figured it out. Dany is, in reality, Thanos.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out why someone, mad or not, would kill their own people who had surrendered to her. The people who pay tribute. The people who produce everything that a medieval monarch has.

But here's the deal: Thanos found a way to go into that Micro dimension (if Ant Man and Iron Man can figure it out, surely Thanos can). So he goes back into time and crosses dimensions, gives himself a makeover and goes about his goal of wiping out half the people.

No more bowls o' the brown and stepping over a river of shite for those flea bottom and gin alley baws. All that shite is getting a flame fueled makeover. The survivors will obviously be happier without so many other poor people mucking everything up.

Bran ruling will be the dumbest piece of bull shite to ever come from this show.

1. He can't have kids
2. He's a weirdo and not even truly a person
3. By his own admission he lives in the past.
4. He can't even climb the stairs to sit on the throne.

It's truly a terrible decision. The only saving grace would be if they abolished the monarchy and decided to create a constitutional monarchy that votes in its leaders.

As a stark, Bran has no claim to the Iron Throne. Just because you are a talking tree, doesn't make you fit to be a ruler.

Just thinking back on it from last night, I don't recall seeing her once she started really burning down KL after the bells. I don't remember seeing Drogon either, only glimpses of his fire every now and then

Are we 100% certain that both Jaime and Cersei are dead? I am leaning towards a yes being that it would be fitting for them to die together but I could see a twist coming where Cersei emerges from the rocks.

If you really think about all that Dany has been through it makes perfect sense why she did this. She was never going to be a ruler or a true leader, she was always a conqueror. She never was taught a moral center growing up and the people who were her moral center were all either murdered or betrayed her.

The grayest show of all, is giving you that gray, bittersweet ending. And the limp dicks here can't stand it.

It should have been done better. They should've had a dragon die in King's Landing and she snaps and burns it.

Something should have made her snap at that moment. Or a line of dialogue where she says frick em all. Or Something. It just seems awkward and lazy to just have her randomly decide to annihilate everyone after she's won for no reason.

yep. Dany going mad has been slowly built up. Nobody is questioning that.

The problem is how it finally came to happen this season. It has all been very rushed. The actual scene where she snaps doesn't make a lot of sense. Yes she probably had her mind made up before the battle, but the way they shot the scene it did not look like that.

Hell, when the bells were ringing, she could have just said "Fear" before taking off and it would have made it better. That simple

I will say, Drogon absolutely destroying King's Landing is one of the coolest shots I have ever seen. Love or hate the episode, The cinematography was absolutely insane. They must have spent literally their entire Budget on this episode.

Maybe she was always going to burnt the whole city unless surrender have her some overwhelming feeling of peace. Maybe she thought it would and when it didn’t e tripled down.
