Dany going batshit and Jaime going back to Cersei and dying with her weren’t the worst things to me. I suppose on the Jaime part, it was because I really pissed last week (which I think was the worst episode so far in a mediocre season) when he left so last night wasn’t a surprise. It does make me kind of wish Brienne had gotten with Tormund instead of Jaime tho. And Dany well she’s been half nuts all season.
Last night, I was more aggravated by Tyrion ratting out Varys and getting him killed than anything else.

Man oh man. They have ficked this last season up so bad. Used seven seasons to build up GREAT character's to just end them like piss ants. Now they are portraying Daenery as some mad queen for wanting revenge on Cersei a woman that killed her child and her most loyal friend.

Nothing will top the Long Night. Most of the fans that hated that have resigned themselves to a shitty end of the series.

I still love the show but why have 7 seasons and one last season with 6 episodes to get everything finished? I will be glass half full on the last episode and it's still going to be top 3 for me of all time show. For all the details they had in the first seven seasons they sure just said frick it in this last season. My only gripe.

I am not reading all this shite....has it been discussed that Cersei must have been planning to burn the city herself? Pretty clear there were caches of wildfire all over.

Did people really not see Dany being the Mad Queen thing coming?
They've been hinting at at it all season and it kinda makes sense at how she got here.

I was told Jaime was going back to kill Cersei not support her.

I wish it was built up more. I think it makes sense as a cohesive story, but it really undermines a ton of her character for it to happen so easily, IMO.
That being said, that was the best episode of the show.

They honestly didn't know how to end this series. Wtf
This thread is hilarious.
The leaks ruined the in-game threads. That's why I dont read them til the next day. Seriously, go read the on-air times of posts here. They are people spoiling the episode, and the show with leak talk, even the final episode.
It's also funny that just like episode 3, when they make payoffs with things that were set up by GRRM, and build up over SEASONS of this show everyone loved, they are now getting shite on immediately just bc GRRM isn't writing the actual conclusions.
It's even funnier that everyone is blaming D&D when GRRM directly outlined the entire season for them, which means all the major elements (Jaime/Ceresi,Dany,Arya, burn them all, Cleganebowl, etc) are all from the fat man himself.
It's fun to watch the melt and see posts shitting all over one of the greatest shows and episodes in television history because it didn't go the way people wanted.
I called this weeks ago that this is going to rival the TLJ melt on here because it has the same formula for that. Beloved franchise that people are invested way too much in, so when major events conclude they are going to go on social media and shite all over it.
I was right.
Yes, the writing is subpar. It was always going to be. You went from 5 amazingly detailed books over a 15 year period from the best writer of fantasy since Tolkien and LOTR to the writer that screwed up Wolverine in Xmen: Origins and some guy who wrote a childrens books being their only experience.
For what it is, it's still good IMO. Some parts are even great.
It was a great episode of TV and it raised the bar for TV whether you enjoyed it or not. Yes, there was hacky moments but overall they did a great job, and it looked incredible.
I honestly feel sorry for people that watch it every week and pick it apart because they read some leaks and hate D&D. It's too good of a show to ruin with nitpicking and miserable emotions bc it didn't go the way you want.
I get it though, it's the day and age we are in in 2019 (everyone's an armchair critic, writer, and director, and has a mouthpiece) so it's inevitable.
I'm just so glad I can still suspend belief and enjoy one of the best shows ever on television, even though the quality dipped because a fatass author would rather write compilation books and other series rather than finishing his magnum opus.

I think as early as season 2 Dany had a vision of her walking to the Iron Throne in ashes. This was from GRRM's book too, so he set that up way early on.

Jaime dying the way he did. What a bitch move and a total ruining of his arc.
They have absolutely gotten Jaime’s story completely wrong the entire time. Jaime is a redeemable character in the books, they made him out to be a weak, pussy whipped bitch in the show. They’ve fricked his story up so bad.

Clegane bowl sucked major dick.
Meh, it was fan service that literally everybody wanted and it was alright.

Euron was a bitch in the show but he died like a little bitch too. How magical that he turned up where Jaime was.
That shite was stupid. Comically bad, like Jaime, they also completely fricked up his storyline. He was a comic book level of villain.

No they didn't. You got duped. Jamie was always going back to Cersei.
The only question was whether he would mercy kill her or not.

+10000
Jaime's arc was a chance of redemption and then not wanting it. GRRM wrote it so if you don't like the obvious arc then blame him. He flirted with redemption but ultimately he's still who he is. He still loves his sister. That was his arc.

Nope. In the book he refuses to help her when she is captured by high sparrow. He wrote her off

I love how Arya could move through millions of zombies and super zombies to kill the Night King but couldn’t walk past screaming mothers and scared peasants
