To be fair, in an episode where Bronn and Jaime are in Dorne I think, Bronn asks Jaime how he wants to die. Jaime replies “in the arms of the woman I love”
Soooooo it makes sense

You pegged everyone! They secretly hate-watched a show for SEVEN SEASONS only to reach the coup de grace: complaining about the eighth season!

After reading this thread I’ve come to the realization that more and more people refuse to ever be satisfied with anything. Instead of actually gaining any enjoyment from any experience in life they instead only find enjoyment in finding dissatisfaction and disappointment in literally everything. It’s like only reason for living is a combination of bitching, tearing down, and generally complaining about everything rather than enjoying anything. What a sad existence.

can’t believe people are defending this episode. It was so terrible I thought to myself not even this board would defend it.

The people doing this are the same people who talk about GoT for hours on end every week at the office, with the clerk at the store, pretty much with anyone who will listen. They likely host watch parties and somewhat schedule their lives around the show because they have nothing else to look forward to in life.

This episode looked nice and that was it. The writing has been complete shite and I’m literally only continuing to watch because of how ridiculous the story has gotten and to see the D&D apologists post episode. It’s just like the people who defended The Last Jedi, they are completely blind to what is going on right in front of their eyes.

This gif would be an improvement on where we are headed.

It's like those of you who think Dany going mad is out of left field are finally paying attention or something. They've been building up to that for years. Arguably the entire length of the series.

Yeah. I'm really confused how people have not seen this coming.

Maybe because it was just hints of it in past seasons and it was rushed a bit this season since they're are only 6 episodes? But it was just ramped up to level 10/10 when when found out Jon was Targ and she saw how the people loved Jon and didn't share the same sentiments towards her.

Yeah I definitely watched this show up until this point because I hated it and wanted to complain about it after every episode.

I don’t agree with some of the writers decisions in this episode related to the character arcs (Jamie, Tyrion), but I knew going in that I wasn’t getting “my” ending...so I enjoyed the episode.

It was nice finally seeing a dragon wreck shop.

Arya leaving the Hound was meh but I get it. Arya’s story was done and the Hound gave her a second chance at peace.

The Mad Queen could be seen miles away, anyone who didn’t see that coming is retarded or blind. HOWEVER, it was overboard for her to kill the women and children.

At least the legendary unnamed soldier survived. I'm pretty sure it's him still.

You don’t build a character to be one thing for 7 seasons and then have them do a ridiculous heel turn in 2 episodes. Total trash writing. Anyone with a brain thought the madness was a lazy red herring, but they just rolled with it

What a disaster.

The biggest disaster is Bran. He needs to he rolled off a cliff like the kid on Mac and Me.

Dany was always teetering on going mad. No one who has watched this show and paid attention can deny that.

HOWEVER, it was overdone to the point of absurdity. I’ll give you that.

The writers could have accomplished the same thing with her simply killing the surrendering troops and wiping out the keep - with obvious collateral damage to innocent people. Jon would have a legit case and motivation going into the next episode.

Her wiping EVERYONE out just seemed way overboard. But let’s not act like there wasn’t ANYTHING showing she would turn heel. There was plenty of evidence for that.

No, those are the people who are lighting their dicks on fire right now.

What has been the point of Cersei this season besides standing on a balcony sneering while looking out at the city?

She actually thought she would win. Jaime tried to tell her last season there was no chance, and he fell out of favor. She thought Qyburn's scorpions would make a difference, she thought Euron's brashness would make a difference, she thought the Golden Company would make a difference.

Jaime saw. The Dothraki alone win on the field against the Westeros army. The dragon alone wins. Dragon + an army together, it's a hopeless massacre. It's a blitzkrieg.

She didn't believe that, right up until she had her Hitler In The Bunker moment watching it unfold.
All we need is one lucky shot- the ballista are gone, your grace.
Euron holds the Blackwater Bay- the Iron Fleet is gone, your grace.
The Lannister army will stand and fight- Qyburn doesn't get to tell her they surrender, but she sees it happen.
Danaerys won't attack the Keep with civilians in it- uh, yes she will.

Done, nowhere to run.

She is her father’s daughter
