For a second there I was like "holy shite Bran is about to tell this dude 'Good job.'" I thought they were going to be on the same side until he started reaching for his sword. That would have been nuts.

yeah, they have TWO dragons. Cersei only has like 20k men

20k men, the biggest fleet in the world, and weapons able to injure dragons vs. 2 dragons and whatever the heck the North has left after Winterfell.

I’m I the only one who just assumed that Arya jumped down from the walls/tree?

I though the point of Theon going Leeroy Jenkins at NK was to give Arya time to scale the Heart Tree,

but

Upon re-watch, she had to come from the walls, as she blows an Other's hair forward as she flies past from behind.

All I'm saying is, the only logical end of the story at this point, is for Aria to go to King's Landing and stab everyone in the back. Then when John and Danny show up, they face a leaderless army, kill all of them, and sit on the throne. Arya can basically blend into the darkness and do anything she wants. The writers choosing not to have her go assassinate Cersei because they feel like having a battle between humans will be lazy and stupid.

Sansa is going to have something to say about Dany taking the throne. Especially if she hears Jon is the true heir

I think they've done enough foreshadowing to know Cersei won't give it up. She's going to take everyone down with her before it's all said and done.

Will she outsmart them? Doubtful. What sets her apart is her sheer ruthlessness. Kings landing will be no more by the time she's finished. The one holding the throne at the end will be whoever isn't in kings landing when it goes down.

So why do we need three episodes to explain what essentially what Aegon the Conqueror did with his two sister wives and no army?

Because there’s still a Jon and Dany conflict which will lead her to being the mad queen

Honestly I thought bran was about to assume control of the the NK and army of the dead/become the night king. I didn’t necessarily buy the bran=night king theory out there but at that point I didn’t see anything else that could happen

this is so overblown

they have large balistas that can fire like one shot over what? 5 minutes? they also can't be turned easily

to think these things are on par with dragons that can fly around is insanity

For a moment it seemed like maybe Bran was actually in on this and was part of the NK.

Can we talk about where/how Arya flew in from? Did she just magically obtain a 75" vertical or something?

Also, Did y'all watch the writer's comments after the episode. I've thoroughly enjoyed their comments this season.

It will now be interesting to see what Jamie does. The great war is over does he go back to kings landing or stay on northern side now?

Ive rewatched the scene about 20 times and her angle of attack is maybe a foot higher than the NK actual height.

The gif I am looking at just shows her emerging from the darkness falling down. Who knows where she actually jumped from

I think you can take him out of the discussion now. He has proved that he's not as smart as everyone thought. Believing Cersei was going to send her army was incredibly stupid.

I dont think book Tyrion would, but show Tyrion just isnt that smart.

That's been my biggest gripe. Apparently you just have to accept it since there are giants and dragons though.

Or to put it in GOT religion, she becomes "The Stranger", representing death and the unknown.

So now who becomes:
The Father
The Mother
The Maiden
The Crone
The Warrior
The Smith
The Stranger = Arya
