One of the things that has always bothered me ab the dragons is the fact that when the spew these giant flames of fire in a field of combat it just seems to only hit the enemy. You would think everyone from both sides would get burnt to a crisp everytime she came in and saved the day.
She’s not doing it near the hand to hand combat zone.....the dragon is well back in the enemy lines

Dany turned off friendly-fire.

TIL that a lot of dumbasses don’t know what deus ex machina means
The show spent 7 whole seasons building Arya up as a killer, and specifically an assassin, and people are bitching about her killing the NK as fan service

Every main character had plot armor last night.
How many times has Davos told us he’s not a fighter? Yet last night he survived without a scratch.
Sam sits there in the middle of an attack by the dead. Doesn’t die.
Jaime can barely fight with 1 hand. Survived fine.
Etc.
Show is silly now.

I think this ending fits Martin's quote in regards to the Scouring of the Shire in LOTR.

We could see fine with the tv on "movie mode"

Maybe you can help me see what your point is. I don't get your response.

Also my only gripe about this episode it's that more then half of it was filmed in complete, complete darkness.
It's not just a GOT thing either, for some reason it's a new director fad and it can't go away fast enough
I'm watching in darkness on a 65 TV and can't see shite
I'll give this episode a pass bc it's the WW battle and I get why they did it but it was close to unwatchable.
The actual episode was great

This. When the night king broke into pieces it was a metaphor for the glass ceiling and yalls fragile male egos
In their ama d&d said they based the character of Arya on Hillary Clinton

Lyanna Mormont killing the giant was some of the most blatant fan service ever

Agreed
She was a bad arse too though

The fact that you keep repeating phrases about plot holes and fan service, while having zero understanding about what the story is actually about, is one of the funniest things here.
It's always great to see a slow person rail about thinfs he doesn't understand.
3 points for "student of the books" reference in that other thread as well.

Nk can drop a dragon and raise the dead but Arya ganked his arse right in front of all his dead peeps
I think they did a good job of showing that his concentration was on Bran and because of that, his troops weren't as aware/effective in killing the living. But they set this up well. I think the only thing they should've changed is they should have shown Arya jumping from the tree so it wasn't so out of nowhere. If they show her jumping from the tree then I don't see how you can gripe about her killing the NK.

They should have had Arya sneaking her way to the NK as a backdrop for tension building as the rest of eveyone else is about to die. A few people do die and Arya finally gets into position and makes her move saving some people as the NK dies. The problem is they didn't show Arya paced into the episode correctly.

This show has reached Walking Dead levels of absurdity with regards to main characters surviving hopeless situations.

Laugh all you want, but at this point the only alpha-male character left is Euron Grayjoy, mounter of Queens.

i didnt mind most of the characters living.
Almost every single character made it out in The Two Towers, and they were riding out to there death
the darkness bothered me and Ayra jumping out of nowhere bugged me, wouldnt all those WW around the NK see her and stop her?

They’re attacking kings landing because it’s the last bastion of toxic masculinity
