The darkness was out of control and a joke but Arya is basically Batman now, she can sneak, appear, vanish etc at will

They should have had Arya sneaking her way to the NK as a backdrop for tension building as the rest of eveyone else is about to die. A few people do die and Arya finally gets into position and makes her move saving some people as the NK dies. The problem is they didn't show Arya paced into the episode correctly.
This needed to happen, but it needed more too. Someone else said it in another thread and I agree, D&D didn't have a clue what to do with the WWs. They ended up not figuring into the story at all. Hordes of zombies World War Zing it up the walls and over battlements is a much easier battle. Fog the field so you don't have to show much and instead of figuring out what defensive cavalry do, have them charge off into the distance so you can show their lights disappear. It was just a silly battle to have Arya jump from nowhere to end it all. It's not like they have Rickon to blame for ruining the battle plan this time either.

Almost every single character made it out in The Two Towers, and they were riding out to there death
GoT isn't LotR, we've come to expect major death of characters and we barely get anything on one of the most essential plots in the story. We only get one real battle out of it as well. They did this to themselves by dragging out filler and not giving us more against the dead.

Lyanna Mormont killing the giant was some of the most blatant fan service ever
Lyanna Mormont is basically everything wrong with D/D GOT
in the post-episode analysis they tried to make her out to be this crucial character that TOTALLY wasn't fan service
they were talking about how she deserved this great death and i'm just like "b/c she was a little girl who became a meme?"

Night King still living in Bran from the touch type of twist? Was his plan all along?
I wondered if something was going on with him too. Arya looked at him and he didn’t say anything and he’d a bit before just told Theon he was a good guy— but then has nothing to say to his sis who just killed the NK?

The sequence where the Dothraki sword flames are being extinguished is unmatched IMO.

i think this episode will age well and get better with more viewings
we always like to pick apart the episodes right after they air.
I remember everyone ripping battle of the bastards too

i think that was more a ranking issue
Blackwater, Hardhorne, and BoB were being debated as the best episode

ironic way to phrase that

After she killed the giant, my brother in law who I was watching it with mockingly said to me and the rest of us watching it “ Oh I get it, the littlest one killed the biggest one. Hey guys, the littlest one killed the biggest one.”

My 3 gripes are that we learned nothing about the NK before his demise and that Sam somehow survived. I like Sam, but he’s worthless in a fight and far better men died while he somehow survived by laying on the ground and crying for 3/4 of the episode. My biggest complaint is that they killed my boy, Ghost, off screen and Jon was just like “Yeah, let him go in the initial charge. I have a dragon now so I don’t care if he dies.” frick that.
Overall, though, I really enjoyed the episode. Sad to see House Mormont go extinct. If you really think about it, the only option was for the army of the dead to kill EVERYONE except for Jon, Dany, and the dragons or for the living to win (AKA, kill the NK). If they had retreated, they would have been on foot running from an army that can run all day and all night without tiring. The dead do not have to rest or eat or drink water... they can simply run you down and kill you. No way a retreat would have really been possible.

Give me the breakdown, fricktard. I'd like to hear your idiot explanation.
Stop being lazy and go back and read it for yourself... or don't and keep looking like a dumbass, it's your choice.

Maybe you should go back to watching Power Rangers? It seems adult shows are a bit too much for you to follow.

Good news for you, he is still alive. He is in the preview for next week. Hard to see, in the quick shot when they are burning the bodies outside Winterfell.

Here’s what I hope happens:
Bran insists on going with them to Kings Landing.
There’s a big fight, dead people everywhere, we think it’s over.
Then Bran says something like “I told you all I wasn’t Bran anymore”
Jon notices Bran’s eyes flicker blue. Bran raises another dead army, all hell breaks loose for the final fight to determine everything.

they don't have the budget for that
hell, i'm pretty sure the reason why we couldn't see half of last night's episode was to save money

So what's up with Tyrion and Sansa? The conversation they shared in the crypts when all hell broke loose was interesting. Wedding bells in the air soon?

This thread proves that you can’t make everyone happy.

Was it just me or did the Tyrion/Sansa scene seem like a suicide buildup?
