and the only god that really has show a presence is the Lord of Light.
And the Many-Faced God has also shown a few tidbits here and there, that is way beyond just advanced potions and tactics.
Speaking of which, I just realized- Arya is a tool of the Many-Faced God. We all thought that just meant she would be killing a bunch of people, but... was killing the Night King actually his purpose?
Why? Well, he does seem to be the god of death, and he's apparently into quotas- if you try to short him a death, he takes it elsewhere, usually vindictively.
Hmmm, but the Night King is stealing from Death. Not cheating it for a few people like Beric and Jon (Lord of Light), where there might be a concession made elsewhere. Stealing in droves. A standing army of wights, and taking more each battle. Gives only a few legit to death, traps the others and bends them to his will.
A God must send A Girl to correct this.
And maybe, A God must work with other gods too, to bring dragonfire and Valerian Steel, whereby many of the trapped dead were released back to him as a side effect.
Quite possibly an interesting alliance of various pantheons to restore order and balance, and all we see are their mortal chess pieces.

Seasons 1 - 4 had intelligent writing. I remember the biggest complaint about the show back then was that it was too hard to follow and people (females) had to rewatch it several times to understand what was going on.
Now the show is just filling in as many Bazingas as they can, and foid characters taking credit for all the work even though it was people like Sam, Jorah, Theon, the unsullied, Varys, Baelish and other sexless characters doing all the work.
The Fanbase has transformed from Nerds who enjoy deep and realistic story telling to soy and foids who wear shirts with quotes from the show. WTF happened to this show

And we never even got 1 second of jon vs him... That's even worse.
Pretty sure we got a good chunk of Jon vs NK while riding dragons.
That was pretty bad arse

This has to be a parody of a classic incel post, right?

The foreshadowing is there. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it faulty. I wanted Jon to be the one to kill the NK as well, but sometimes heroes have outside help. It's the way of things.
Howland Reed supports this message.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Arya hears some assorted small folk saying, "That's Eggjon Stargaryen. He killed TNK and 11 Others single-handedly!" just to underscore this point.

I much prefer the theory that none of the gods worshiped in this universe actually exist. There is a strong ambient magic which has been on the increase. There are people with the inherent ability to tap into this magic to one extent or another. Sometimes they also have training and sometimes they don't. These people and others ascribe this magic to a god or gods of their devising depending on their own inclinations and culture.

The charge of the Dothraki brigade. Definitely fan service. DD said it was to show how hopeless the situation was, so they weren't used to tell the story or make sense but to convey the feeling of futility to the fans. Um ok.

This bothers me more than anything in the episode.
What if Melisandre hadn't shown up? They were just going to charge in there with their plain old raggedy-arse steel arahks?

Yeah. I agree that was just bad storytelling. It would be idiotic to send your cavalry into that battle without any wight-killing and WW-killing weapons.
On another topic:
I just re-watched the episode. Does it seem to anybody else like Team Living had kind of won the outer battle until the NK re-animated all the fresh dead?
Watching that segment again, it sure seemed like Brienne, Jamie, Pod and those in the outer courtyard were kind of in clean up mode - they were having to look for wights to stab. Even Jon had got to the point where it just seemed to be Viserion in his way.
Of course, the NK brought a lot of wights into the godswood with him (fat lot of good it did him when Ayra went into stealth mode
If this was the case, I wish they'd have conveyed it a little more clearly.

It also would make Jon and Dany retarded because their dragon love top gun chase did nothing but force the NK to raise more armies before the true plan could be completed

WW were still running in through the castle gates when Arya destroyed the NK. I think Team Living had just about dispatched all of wave 1, the ones breaching the walls and gate. There were endless waves behind them though. And that’s not even counting the ones the NK resurrected.

In Hardhomme they were killing the wights with steel weapons and by crushing their heads. But also in that same battle Jon couldn’t kill a skeleton wight with his Valyrian steel sword. Meera also kills a wight skeleton by knocking its head off. However earlier in the show Jon couldn’t kill a wight with his regular steel sword so he had to burn it.
Than they told Cersei the only way to kill a wight is with dragon glass.

I think Jon told her you could kill them with dragon-glass, fire and VS.

Actually the end reminded me of the Cell Saga where the little Cells were beating up the DragonBall Z'ers before Gohan destroyed Cell
