Is there anything to be read into the fact that Dany is wearing all white and literally everyone else in Winterfell is in all black?

Bingo. Kingdom of Heaven is basically a movie version of Game of Thrones in terms of trajectory. (At least for now) It doesn’t even feel like the same movie towards the end.

Done shitting on GOT for now. I have enjoyed this season so far but I really hope it gets back to a more serious and unforgiving tone.

Jk, one last thing. Did Sansa get her wardrobe off the set of Hellraiser?

BITCH ARE YOU FA REAL?

they did fricking rush the reunions. Sansa and theon got like 30 seconds. Bran and Jaime got like 2 minutes of worthless dialogue. The fricking goddamn greyworm and mellisandre had a longer conversation ffs

That isn’t even remotely the same. That’s way more niche. I’m willing to bet if it had gotten big, you would have been waxing poetic about how bad season 5 was.

Exactly. Another false equivalency. I loved the Americans but to compare popularity of it to GoT is just laughable.

You mean Missandei? No wonder you hate the show, you aren’t able to follow along

Yep, and that has been known probably since the beginning of time in the GOT universe. Has it always been known how important dragon glass is? You think there are a lot of smiths well versed in working with dragon glass up to this point? If they hadn't shown the dragon glass weapons being made and who made them, people would be bitching about thousands and thousands of these weapons just magically appearing in everyone's hands

It was symbolic to his relationship with Princess Shireen (the girls face was burned)

Wish Jamie would have defended himself about why he killed Danny’s dad. Seems like that would matter.

Somehow it’s gotta come back up. Bri may tell her. Jamie can’t tell her bc she might kill him.

I am pretty sure Tyrion already told Dany what her father was plan on doing with the wildfire and didn't he tell her it was Jamie that had to do it?

She knows her dad was a bad dude.

She could legit be pissed at Jamie, but idk why her dad would be the reason.

no. no literature or film is necessary, but that's a larger scope than the question

I'm not talking about "literature." I am talking about all of these things you are bitching about. None of them are "necessary." They could've jumped into the Battle of Winterfell, then to the post-war politics, and have ignored all of the additional character development. But then the show would be missing the development. I happen to like it, when it's done right. And for the most part, GoT did it right IMO. You may disagree with that, and that's fine. But I am good with the character interaction last night, because it showed everyone and how far they have come as characters...some have come a long way (Jaime) and some have not (Hound). Character development is important, and last night's episode was about just that.

not true. i don't care nearly as much about what isn't shown as much as what is shown

Except that a couple pages back you said this:
quote:

i can't remember if i said it in this thread or another, but they're also giving them all of this (terrible) development that occurred offscreen. they're all competent and noble and not real characters anymore.

So you don't care about what isn't shown, but bitch about what wasn't shown? Which is it?

You say everyone is noble, but that isn't necessarily true. There are still murderers, douchebags, assholes, and cold-hearted bitches in this kingdom. They are just focused on something different now that Winter is finally here (which has been the underlying theme since S1E1).
quote:

it REALLY didn't

but i'm not trying to nit pick at random stupid stuff

Of course it made sense. You just don't like it. And you are exactly trying to nitpick random stuff.
quote:

except Gilly. that shite was stupid

I'm not sure what is stupid, but I assume you mean the scene with her, Davos, and the girl. I'll admit that was campy, but it showed that there are other people around that don't fall into the "major character" category.

And Gilly has always been a mother and a good person. Nothing was out of character for her really. And Davos has always had a soft spot for scarred girls with good hearts. So that was right in line with his character as well.

Well she gets angry pretty easily.

He killed her father, he tried to kill her in battle and he showed up alone. Without an army she may have just assumed he was here as an assassin.

I have enjoyed the episodes but I feel Like everything involving Jon’s Birth is rushed, and It feels like were spending a lot of time on “character moments”

shite I love the Hound but did he need another scene with arya? He had a great one last episode.

Yeah she has good reasons to be pissed.

Idk why she’s starts it over with him killing her Dad who she knows was evil, and bedtime stories from her shithead brother her husband murdered.

Eh, they need time to fill and I think the writers wanted to emphasize how each character chose to spend their probable last night. In typical Hound fashion he sits alone, enjoying the company of no-one. I liked the interaction, as with most this season, you get to see what their relationship is now vs then.

I didn't understand the Dany/Sansa scene. Jon has already bent the knee. It is a done deal.

While technically you are correct, Dany understands that at best this type of "done deal" is tentative and often temporary...

Dany is trying to win hearts and minds... particularly because of her relationship to Jon.
