so... wait... is Sansa still in the dark of Jon Snow's true identity?
Posted on 4/22/19 at 11:17 am to rt3
Yep. Only Bran, Sam, and Dany know. I probably would have waited until after the battle to tell Dany that though.

Winterfell theoretically has magical barriers against the Walkers and Wights.
How mad are you going to be next week when there's no magic at winterfell?

Yes. He doesn’t want the throne, and telling people about his true identity would distract from the task at hand

Y’all think Bronn makes it to Winterfell next week?
he gets there just as the battle is heating up
Jamie and Tyrion are both in dire straits... about to be killed... he crossbows the threatening white walkers and sacrifices himself to save both Jamie and Tyrion as they're both clear to escape back to the Iron Islands

True. I forgot about that, though I guess Bran could've seen/said something.

news like that wouldn't stay a secret long as more people learn of it
for all we know... when the horn sounded and Dany and Jon left the crypts.. .before heading for her dragon Dany went to Sansa's chambers and was like "your brother just told me he isn't your brother, but instead is your cousin, and is also spouting that he's a Targaryen"

Does she though? I thought she read it in that book but didn't really understand. Did Sam explain it to her?

It’s confirmed that the Wall and Storm’s End have magical protection. Both of those were built by Bran the Builder, so I don’t see why Winterfell wouldn’t also have magical properties. They’re specific about Starks being buried with iron swords so that the Stark Kings are kept in place. Also Winterfell may be specifically named that because that is where the Night King fell last time.
But there’s two reasons to think the magic of Winterfell may no longer be applicable. For generations, it’s been made explicit that there must always be a Stark in Winterfell. In Season 2, the last Starks left Winterfell which may break the magical protection. Also Bran is in Winterfell and has been touched by the Night King, which we’ve seen broke the protection for the Three Eyed Raven’s cave.
So either way I’m not going to give a shite. I see the argument on both sides. I’m just sure that Winterfell was built with magical protection, it may have just been broken recently.

Like the writers watched return of the King before writing this current part
Glad im not the only one that thinks this show feels more like LotR now. Hollywood writing is shot.

Agreed. But like a lot of the drama going on it's very irrelevant until they defeat the NK.

Considering half the action is now happening off screen without explanation that is possible.

Yea, probably my only gripe with the episode was that nobody mentioned to Dany why Jaime killed her dad, or that her dad had grandpa and uncle Stark roaster by wildfire.
The only person there that knows that though is Brienne. I don’t even think Cersei knows.
But Jaime knows and could have said something. Instead he took the route of "I did it for my family," but he could have just as easily said that the King went mad and wanted to blow up every single person in King's Landing. I feel like that would've actually resonated with Dany since she is so "for the people" (even though she's not and she sucks at the game of thrones).

Did you miss the Aegon Targaryen reveals to Jon and Dany in the first two episodes?
I specifically meant as far as the white walkers progress battling through the kingdoms.

I know they’re at a point in the show where they can’t waste 10 minutes on something this minor...but has anybody else found it funny how casually they take Bran? Nobody ever knew about the 3ER before, but now they’re just cool with Bran being this weird frick who can see anything and everything that’s ever happened.
In that meeting around the war table, he rolls up his sleeve and says I have the NKs mark on me. Absolutely nobody was like “wtf dude he touched you!? You never said that!” They were all just like, “oh well damn that sucks.”

You’re waiting for an army of undead warriors to attack you. I’d say a brother that can see the future isn’t the weirdest thing they’ve seen at Winterfell.

we've seen where he basically proves his abilities by telling people things that he should have no possible way of knowing

Yep.
And nobody seems to be talking about how Jon CAME BACK FROM THE DEAD.
Sloppy, rushed writing.

I don’t think 3ER can see the future.
