Two different brands of discomfort, but both miserable
Has anybody laughed at the Umbers yet? Last Hearth is like fricking Cleveland, those guys just keep inventing new ways to lose.

Stupid Q, but why are they fighting the WWs at Winterfell?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to do it at Kong’s Landing or the iron islands?
If it’s at KL you force Cersei to use her troops

Haven't read this thread, but people realize King's Landing is about to become Night King's Landing right? Didn't see the Night King or the Ice Dragon last night at all. Hmmm.
Would be smart for sure. Make a KL army and squeeze WF from both sides. Would explain Dany’s vision as well
I loved the episode.
Only flaw was Sansa being a little too over the top with Theon. That wasn’t really built up before he left.
I would also love to see Hound and Sansa interact at some point. For all the complaining about reunions, that one could have been great. Arya could have been there to make an interesting triangle of feels.
Would have liked to see Jamie defend himself better than just saying “we were at war” to Sansa. Were they even at war at that point? I thought Ned being taken prisoner was what led Robb to head South.
The Sam and Jorah scene was very well done imo. Nice surprise considering how much love Sam had for Lord Commander.
Also dreaded the Jon reveal but the way they set it up was great. Jon looking at his mother’s tomb and Dany expressing sadness and confusion about her brother.
Jon was defending him and trying to let Dany know he was as honorable as the stories said. But he couldn’t do that without revealing the truth. It made sense instead of him just saying hey we need to talk. It’s clear from his talk with Sam he wasn’t planning on telling her at all.
The fire scene was fun. I’ll even admit it was some filler, but the night before a battle, some soldiers sitting around drinking and talking is fair enough with me.
Some cheese with Brienne but that was more about Jamie to me. He just gets it and truly is the best character in the story. He gave the scene the feels it needed, not Brienne imo (didn’t Renly already knight her?)
Cannot wait for next Sunday.
The battles are never my favorite just because I never really believe anyone important will die.
That won’t be the case next week. Just want to see who makes it to episode 4, which I think may be the best of the series

Either KL or maybe they could bottleneck them somewhat at The Neck, and even route them towards the sea where Euron/Yara could hit them from the water.

Uh...
The more land you let the white walkers take the more soldiers they have.
There isn't many people between the Wall and Winterfell.
There is a shitload of people between the Wall and Kings Landing or even the Neck

Because there’s a massive population there that can be used against you and Winterfell theoretically has magical barriers against the Walkers and Wights.

Can the lord of light awaken the crypts?
What if the Red Woman returns?

That too. The army would be 4 times larger by the time they get to King’s Landing, and I don’t see the Night King going to the Iron Islands until he kills everyone in Westeros.

Can be used against you?
There is an army there that has been summoned to kill everyone that isn't a Lannister so there is that problem too.

I’m more referring to them rising again as wights.

What is the weapon that Gendry made Arya before he impaled her? (She didn’t seem that impressed).
They did a pretty good job of showing that it was a dual-bladed staff of some sort. Based on the sketch she gave him, I think it's supposed to be something like this:

She said she was going to Essos because Davos said he would kill her the next time he saw her
Was this before or after she was in dragon stone with Varys?

True but there's also an army of what 20,000 that is not fighting for the living.

I haven't seen any mention of the intro of the show changing from last week to this week.
Last week the "walkers" (tiles) started flipping right at the wall. This week they were already flipped and new ones didn't start flipping until the camera pans and turns towards Winterfell. I'm assuming the trend will continue to show their progress through the kingdoms as the season goes on.
Which considering all of the speculation on the crypts playing a major role must have legs because those are shown prominently.
also... so look at the aerial shot of Winterfell in the open... they've added the defensive moats around the perimeter to it

If in the episode you watched, Jamie(or Bran) mentioned that he killed Dany’s dad because the Mad King was going to brutally murder everyone in King’s Landing, then yes, you watched a different episode. In the episode I watched, that never came up.
Yea, probably my only gripe with the episode was that nobody mentioned to Dany why Jaime killed her dad, or that her dad had grandpa and uncle Stark roaster by wildfire. Though in retrospect, probably not the best idea for those things to get brought up when you're trying to ease tension.

The only person there that knows that though is Brienne. I don’t even think Cersei knows.

Y’all think Bronn makes it to Winterfell next week?
Based on how the show's been throwing everyone together, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up to the battle with Melisandre and an army of red priests in tow.

She’s 22 but looks like she’s 12.
I really think if Arya would let her hair down- or not wear it pulled back so tight in the front she would look older and not so childlike. I think I'll submit that suggestion to HBO so if she and Gend get to bone again, everyone can enjoy.
I'll give Arya this- I think Gendry was a good selection. He is a hottie.
